Why not enter all surnames too? (I dont think it requires too much space) |

Thomas S, Jason Z, Jakub O, Nikola Z, Rishi P, Rakesh R, etc.
But I would still prefer with the surname. |

Also, we are planning to have 2 puzzle tests in October. Most likely on 9th and 16th. Details will be updated in the forum as soon as we have more information. |

 Sorry Fred.

I think I should take time to solve quietly some puzzles before doing puzzles tournament, as I did with sudoku. At the beginning, it doesn't help to have time pressure. I need time to really understand logic of each puzzle. there aren't lot of puzzles with which I'm quite comfortable to try to be fast on solving (sudoku of course, kakuro, skyscrapers... all these things that looks like sudoku )
But the problem is: when I have time, I prefer doing sudoku rather than other puzzles |

Location: india | So a slight recollect at the end of the year 2012 from a personal perspective.Introduced to this site by a friend of mine
during May, IPC 2012 was the first puzzle test that i planned to take..Due to some reason or the other i could not.
Then after taking part in TIMES sudoku championship in july my interest in sudokus began to grow manifold...From being literally a no solver
in sudokus to a medium solver to a confident solver i thank LMI fully for the improvement that i have got...A site that is so well
administered with prim and proper replies to any queries be it sudokus or puzzles.
Earlier 70 - 80 % of my free time would be spent playing chess in chesscube a site that i was crazy about and analyzing the positions
with powerful chess engines. Now situations have reversed to such an extent that the site that i used to frequent and moderated is rarely visited
nowadays!!Such is the interest that LMI has managed to give me in sudokus and puzzles..
I realise the transition that i have gone through because of the prompt replies i got through from the stuck sudokus..That was
the period where i feel i improved a lot solving wise .My scores doubled every month after September beginner's.The good thing about LMI is that
you can learn as much as you enjoy.
I once again thank LMI for the wonderful time it provided me this year and a happy christmas and an advance happy new year to all LMI
members.I wish 2013 for LMI turns out to be a bumper success just as 2012 was !!!!

Location: Indonesia | There is a May puzzle test, on 18-19 May. You don't need to register; if you want to participate, check the current tests at top right corner when the test has started (link opens from a week before the test, for instruction booklet and other stuffs), log in, and start the test when you feel you're ready.
I'm not sure when May Sudoku test is; probably none, since there are many (two) WPF Sudoku Grand Prix tests in the month, and LMI doesn't really want their tests to clash with them. |

Hi,
As you can see from the Schedule above, there is no Sudoku test currently active, as there is a puzzle test coming up this weekend. But the past tests are all archived and you can go to them by clicking on their names above. If you stay around on the forum or have registered your email, you'll mostly get to know when the next Sudoku test is. In the meantime, you can check F.A.Q. for details about participation. |

Location: India | 17 monthly tests, 8 annual contests, 8 Beginners contests (Sudoku + Puzzles) and 2 online national championships - that is what we had at LMI in 2013. Thank you everyone for participating and making these contests a success and for providing many useful feedback. Thank you authors for writing many high quality puzzles.
We hope to bring in some equally interesting contests in 2014. With Sudoku and puzzle GP planned for most part of first half, we might not have a high number of contests during that period, but 3 contests are already being planned in January.
Wishing everyone a happy and puzzle-filled year ahead.

Location: France | Hi Prasanna, In all fairness, "not yet announced" is not very informative, especially since tests sometimes get announced just a week or two before they take place, while the current pause has been much longer and there are no "monthly" tests at the moment. I assume that things will be fairly quiet at LMI until the WPC/WSC, or at least until the end of the WPF GP, and hope that things will return to a more regular schedule afterwards...

Hi Denis, It is true that it is not informative, but that is why we also give a link to download previous contests, which is the informative part. The hope is that solvers will try out those contests and discuss them in the forum even though the contests aren't active now. Beyond that I will say that while it is likely that the pause will continue, contests on LMI before the WPC/WSC are not 'impossible' so in that sense "not yet announced" is the best reply to give I think. |

The password will be displayed when you click the Start Bangladesh Online Qualifiers button and the Timer will also start at the same instant. You can open the Booklet with the password, take a print out, solve the puzzles and submit within the Time. You can submit as and when you finish each puzzle. |
