LMI has hosted many different contests this year, with many different themes and ideas. To celebrate the contests of 2012, we have put together a page where you can vote for your favorite 3 Sudoku tests and your favorite 3 Puzzle tests. The voting includes the special contests as well in addition to the monthlies. At the end of voting period (6th Jan 2013), we will announce the winners in different categoies.

The voting page has the same posting methodologies used for the individual contests feedback pages, with an option to post the votes in forum, along with the anonymous option too. There is also a Voting Power categorization giving a bit more points to the votes of different players.

We hope everyone enjoyed the contests of 2012 and will continue to enjoy them through 2013. We also thank the authors who have made this year possible, and hope for more contributions from all of you in the coming years.

Enjoy the voting, Happy Holidays.

How will the winners be decided?

Every player can vote upto 3 Sudoku tests and 3 puzzle tests. There is no sequence among the 3 voted tests, and all of them will be treated equally.
After a player votes, all his vote power (depending upon the category) will be equally distributed among the 3 tests. After the voting period ends, the tests with maximum votes received will be declared as winner.

Notes
• We will be declaring only the top 3 tests in each category.
• If a player decides to vote only for 2 tests, 1/3rd of his voting power will be equally distributed among the remaining tests.
• If a player decides to vote only for 1 tests, 2/3rd of his voting power will be equally distributed among the remaining tests.
• Authors / Test solvers are allowed to vote for their own tests.

I loved Akil oyunlari competetion so much so that i tried to order copies of Akil oyunlari magazines...but sadly they are not available for sale commercially in india...It had everything maths based puzzles ,good hard crosswords etc...would love to see it again and i would also like to make a suggestion ....contests like Di , puzzle cup and so on can be considered for ratings ...particularly when the participant is allowed to have an option whether the test should be considered for his ratings or not what is the point in excluding some for ratings and including the rest.
And the best idea that was conceived in LMI i feel is Beginners sudoku .I am getting a taste of the different variants that exist in sudokus gradually...I am sure many others would feel the same...The fun that you get when u catch hold of that sole candidate in sudokus is what i like the most and most of the hard sudokus were designed exactly of that sort..Hope Beginners sudoku contest continues next year with full vigour and may the variants never get exhausted!

For Sudoku, I think the Beginners Sudoku contests have been a clear winner. Not just because I think they serve a good purpose, but because the actual puzzles have been of a very high standard.

For the puzzle contests, I would be hard pressed to choose between the CTC and Fillomino Filllia 2. Both are tours de force of design, creativity, and variety within a single basic puzzle type.

Because of a bug no one was able to vote for last 24 hours (no wonder the counter was stuck at 99).
We are extending the period by 24 hours more. Sorry about the problem.

Was it really a bug? According to the opening post, voting was to be closed after the 6th of january, not after the 7th.

Bram, You are right. I have been thoroughly confused with the end date of the voting. No explanations.

That is the detailed results, it was said at the start that only top 3 will be released. The detail is mainly the percentages.
