Hi,

For Time Trials, is it possible to record both the times. Time when the puzzle goes live and time when a solver starts the puzzle and also provide two scores for them.

I know that the organizers are pretty busy with the Convention and Part 1 of Time Trials is almost over. But if there is a way to record the time for now and them update the scores after the convention, that would also be fine.

The intention behind it is just to have a fair idea of individual time and ranking for Time Trials as well in case we are not able to start the puzzle at the gunfire.

We appreciate your concern.

However, the whole idea of the time trials is that race to start and finish as soon as the puzzle is live. We have many other contests where start times are recorded. The aim here is to have something different, with a live solve experience. That is very much intentional.

For the Fencing example, the answer row that's listed doesn't align with the answer row in the diagram. Not a big deal, but I expected you'd appreciate knowing that.

Thanks, I will try to start as many trials as I can on time.

Also, I noticed that if the current schedule of Time Trial is continued for part 3, then Time Trial 24 would overlap with Authors Panel.

Author's Panel : 18th Nov, 14:30-16:00
Time Trial 24 if same schedule continues: 18th Nov, 15:00-18:00.

I am interested in attending the Author's Panel but also would not want to miss starting the Time Trial on time.

Is it possible to make them non-overlapping?

Thanks for pointing this out, it seems I have given the top row instead of the second.

Hello samp,
Time Trial 24 is scheduled to start at 16.30 GMT on that day to avoid this clash.
The full schedule can be seen in the overall IB: https://www.worldpuzzle.org/files/106/timetrials%20part%20one%20IB%2...

Thank you for your interest, best of luck! :)

The weightlifting example puzzle has quite a few solutions. Interestingly, the given one is none of them (since there is a 3 in R4C3).

Petar, could you please explain what is the exact problem? We do not send any confirmation emails after the registration. I can see your form submitted correctly, you can participate in the event anytime you want.

Before that, you need to register at the LMI site too. Here is the link you can use - https://logicmastersindia.com/forum/register.asp

Feature request: After the Time Trials are all over, will it be possible to post a single PDF with all of them together? I'm prioritizing the other rounds while they count, and I hope to be able to solve the TT later without having to print out 27 separate files...

Really terrific work all around for this Convention, the community is very fortunate to have so many dedicated authors and tireless workers. Thank you all so much!

On the Equestrian puzzle -- I see two neighboring circles in each puzzle with a 42 in both solutions (I didn't work them out myself), but are the shared digits going to be in the same orientation in both grids? In other words, would a possible puzzle have a 42 (in that order) in the Sudoku puzzle and those digits reversed into a 24 (in that order) in the Kakuro puzzle? I suspect it will be clear(er) during the solving process but just to be sure I thought I would ask here.

We hope this can be done, but please understand that it will be near the bottom of a list of things that needs to get done.
If some time passes and this hasn't been completed, I can personally forward the files to you later.
Thank you kindly for the interest.

Thank you for the kind words, Ziti.
Regarding Equestrian, there will be similar-looking circles across the two grids. They will not be coded but the identical pattern should hopefully be clear that we are sticking to the same orientation of all the placements. So no, it is not possible for digits to switch around.

You are right. Thank you for alerting us.
There are so many things wrong with that example. Please see the newer IB with this fix in an above post.

In the new IB, there is also a re-wording of Sailing (Nagareru) to clarify the rules.
