Looking forward for other puzzle types as well. macherlakumar - 2012-02-08 10:46 AM No particular reason.I have a question regarding the timer, if 60 minutes is the limit then why the timer is starting from 0 rather than 60 ?. I mean the timer should go from 60 to 0 as in usual LMI monthly tests. |

Country : India | Administrator posted @ 2012-02-08 12:20 PM deu - 2012-02-08 11:14 AM I'm really looking forward to Tapa months. I have two questions about scoring. 1. Are there any penalties for wrong submissions? I submitted wrong answers in some trial puzzles, but there were no penalties. If this also applies to real competition puzzles, I feel very happy! I don't think Serkan is that kind. All wrong submissions will be penalized for real competitions puzzles. deu - 2012-02-08 11:14 AM The scoring system is designed by Cihan Altay. It will be uploaded soon.2. How will you decide total ranking? (Total time or total rank) for (all 50 or best **) puzzles? |

Yes, every puzzle can be solved in 3 days, but 2nd and 3rd day has time/point disadvantages for solver. |

I am using Firefox 10.0. jalbert was marking the white cells in a different color. So, if someone else who hasn't figured out yet, please note that, white cells can be left blank or can be marked with a circle of any color. All shaded cells HAVE to be colored (any color is fine) |

Country : India | Administrator posted @ 2012-02-11 2:30 AM Para - 2012-02-11 2:26 AM That is correct. It was bit of challenge to make it GMT based. Hope it is not too much of trouble for players. Once the cycle starts, it shouldn't matter which timezone is followed. So the CTC rotates around the server time and not GMT like the other contests? CTC has started. Posts: 315 Country : The Netherlands | Para posted @ 2012-02-11 2:38 AM One more question. In the standings, is the penalty already added? It wasn't the case for the test puzzles, but that might be because the scoring hadn't been announced yet. [edit] Okay more questions. I see we can rewatch our own solves. Will this be the case for other people's solves once the puzzle is over? I had this question before, but never asked. Will all puzzles be the same size or can we expect larger puzzles? The information is stored in LMI server. So it is possible to watch others' solves. I was not sure if anybody would be interested in that. But we can easily add that feature. (We probably need players' permission to allow this. I don't know how it works in other websites) |
