Hi all,

I am new to this forum. I am overwhelmed by the information. Can anyone please tell me how can I register for this year's Sudoku Mahabharat. And what is the qualification process and how I can practice mock sudoku before actually appearing in selection rounds?

I would be very grateful if you can take out some time to answer my queries as I am not able to navigate by myself.

Thank you in advance! :)

Hi, I am completely new to the platform and would like to participate in Sudoku GP. Any guidance would be much appreciated, thanks!

The Sudoku GP is on the website gp.worldpuzzle.org . The competition you are commenting on here is Sudoku Mahabharat, conducted by Logic Masters India. These are two separate competitions but are linked. If you can be more specific, we can guide you. Have you read the F.A.Q. yet? https://logicmastersindia.com/forum/forums/thread-view.asp?tid=2773#...

You are already registered! All you need is a username and password which you already have in order to make this post :)

The specific link with information for this year's Sudoku Mahabharat and the qualification process to the Indian Sudoku Championship is https://logicmastersindia.com/SM/2023sm.asp

You can practice older Sudoku Mahabharat rounds by going to the "LMI Monthly" link at the top and selecting Monthly Tests on the drop down. There, where it says "Contest type" in the top search filters, click on "Any" and instead select "Sudoku Mahabharat". Here you can access all the rounds of past years.

Feel free to post if you're facing further difficulties.

If you are posting here you're already registered. There isn't any added step. I suggest reading the F.A.Q. on the home page for how online contests take place. There is also a detailed explanation of Sudoku Mahabharat in the top left of the home page. At the top of the home page there is a link to Monthly Tests where you can go and modify your search to just past Sudoku Mahabharat rounds.

A mail has been sent to the top 70 Indian participants of SM and the Indian participants of PR. Please check here for cumulative results as we have them so far -
SM: https://www.logicmastersindia.com/SM/2023-ranks.asp (final)
PR: https://www.logicmastersindia.com/PR/2023-ranks.asp (2 rounds to be computed)

Check your mail and let us know if you are in the noted rankings and haven't received the mail. Beyond that, to those who have received it, please try to let us know your plans asap. To the ones who haven't received it, I have a few notes:
1. If you are in Mumbai or can make it on late notice to Mumbai on the weekend of the 27th-28th of May, and you are interested to be on the waiting list for wildcards if we have slots, then email me @ prasanna16391@gmail.com and let me know.
2. If you want to make it as a volunteer on the above dates, email me for that too.

Whether you are in the top 70 or not, if you're unable to make it and would like to help with authoring, email me for that too. (This is only for Indians)

This year's page is not up yet, and we will post when it is, but you can check last year's for a rough idea on the finals and how they happen. - https://logicmastersindia.com/SM/2022pr-sm-finals.asp Since this year it's in Mumbai, the prices are obviously going to be higher, other than that it's largely similar.

Hi Akash, I have never solved one - but from the file shared, the rule seems like these
The number given at the top of the cage = Sum of all the numbers "within" the cage _PLUS_ (Sum of all the numbers which are on the border of the cage / 2)
Also numbers within a cage, must be unique!

And the number which are on the border - may contribute to more than one cage (Like the cage at the bottom left)
I might be wrong, but that's what I understand, and seems valid on the example given.

That was a wonderful and fun filled 2 day event. Both Puzzle and Sudoku events were impeccably organized by Prasanna and Amit respectively.
I tremendously enjoyed day 2 since I love longer rounds and there were a lot of rounds with long duration. Choice of sudoku types were also nice and it was refreshing to see many interesting variants in the mix.
Quality of puzzles and sudokus were fantastic as well.
Thanks to Amit, Prasanna, all authors for creating wonderful sudokus/puzzles and to volunteers for helping out.
