Posts: 2 | RogerChristman posted @ 2021-11-19 3:04 AM How do we get all unshaded cells into one single contiguous region if they are already separated into 3 separate non-contiguous regions? Adding more shading will not eliminate the grey shading that is already present. |

Country : India | Administrator posted @ 2021-11-19 3:07 AM The grey shading is for aesthetic purposes only. You may use some other colours to determine shaded and unshaded areas. The unshaded cells do not need to be a single contiguous region, only the shaded cells need to be. The unshaded cells just have the shape restrictions. |

Posts: 187 Country : New Zealand | kiwijam posted @ 2021-11-21 3:16 AM Uh oh, the rules for Aqre are wrong in the Instruction Booklet! Aqre has a rule that *you cannot have 4 unshaded cells in a row, anywhere in the grid*. This is not mentioned in the rules, and it is not used in the very-shaded example. So anybody trying the Basketball Time Trial is going to get very stuck one third of the way through unless they know this... |
