In your solution, 8th row has two 5's.

In the Context (Sudokerve 6*6), I am not able to place a digit above the lower most 6. All digits seems to be clashing. Can I post the screenshot upto what I solved? and can one of you help me with identifying where I am going wrong.

Remember that a row is only counted if either the cells are all next to each other or there is a gray line connecting them, there could be two digits in the "Same direction" that are not in the "same row". See if this helps, if not yes go ahead and share an image, it'll be restricted.

Did you check if the timer was running after the screenshot? In the backend, this time shown is the exact time you made your 6th submission. I feel for some reason the timer froze after that. This usually happens due to local connectivity issues so I'm not sure if we can do anything but I'll check from our end too anyway. In general (for online contests on any platform) I recommend keeping your personal timer too, it helps ward off inconsistencies due to connectivity issues.

I am not sure, but I have the "feeling" of having seen the countdown still going. It seems quite likely that the time had indeed expired, I was surprised to still see some time left. Perhaps the timer was stopped between my last valid submission and the first invalid one, then restarted at the previous value. It seems counterintuitive, but I do not know how the timer is implemented.

Thanks for a very fun and challenging round Nityant and James !

I stumbled too much on the irregular and lost precious time and Arrow I thought had a really narrow solve.

Favourites are :

i) Killer 9x9
ii) Parquet 9x9
iii) Arithmetic pair 9x9

Hope to see you all in offline finals !

I am a bit late, but here is the Sudoku Mahabharat closing message :)

Firstly, I've now updated a new Puzzle Booklet PDF for this round. It contains a bonus puzzle 19, an Arrow Sudoku that was rejected for being too difficult. It is still a lovely puzzle and themed for the round so please give it a try and let us know your experience on it! (Edit - there is a problem with the answer check, I'll fix it soon (Edit - Fixed, but its still behaving weirdly for some solvers. Ignore the hurray message and go ahead and solve. Here is the solution for reference - https://tinyurl.com/26htecrl ))

Secondly, we have cumulative results! As you all know, this year we had 4 rounds and the best 3 scores are selected to add up to the grand total.

Here are the Indian results which are relevant to ISC qualification: https://logicmastersindia.com/SM/2022-Ranks.asp
The top 60 will be sent a mail soon about this.

Here are the overall results including International Participants: https://logicmastersindia.com/SM/2022-Ranks.asp?all=1
SM 2022 had 579 participants getting a non-zero score. Thank you all for participating, and hope to see you again for next year's series!
