FAQ - Online Solving Have a question?

Choosing to solve online

• Starting Dec 2021, you will be able to solve online in most LMI contests.
• A button (see below) will be available for online solving.

Online solving using Penpa

• Please click on any puzzle name on the left to start solving online.

• After solving the puzzle, you use boxes at the bottom to submit the puzzle.

• Puzzles are not saved / submitted automatically. Ensure that you submit correctly before switching puzzles.
• Upon refreshing the browser or closing the contest page, all the progress will be lost.
• If you see a scrollbar or if you can't see the full grid or if you can't type a digit on the grid, click on the puzzle name on the left.

New to Penpa

Paper Vs Online

• LMI does not recommend which mode to use. You must decide that yourself (depending upon factors like printer availability, type/size of Puzzle etc)
• Even you might decide to solve some puzzles in paper mode and some using online.

• Latest versions of Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Opera.
• At this point, we do not support Firefox.
