Posts: 225 Country : Thailand | tamz29 posted @ 2021-11-14 9:07 PM As we have discovered a bug in the submission keys during the contest, we have decided it is best to not make this event count. While the Submit All button still records each entry, we feel there may have been solvers who have lost time by this bug. We apologize for this turn of events. |

Here is a quick link - https://www.worldpuzzle.org/files/106/timetrials%20part%20two%20IB%2... Note that on the landing page, the Time Trials have now been moved below the Social table so that the last table can be allowed to go longer without disrupting other things. |

Posts: 4 Country : United States | Tiralmo posted @ 2021-11-15 8:52 AM Is there any chance we could get something on the WSPC2021 page to indicate which time trials have already expired (text? color coding?)? Now that the part 2 puzzles are listed, it's become a bit more cumbersome to find the one that's currently relevant, and we don't have the part 3 puzzles added yet. |

Country : India | Administrator posted @ 2021-11-15 12:44 PM Yes, we are trying something. For now we have broken it into 2 tables, we may collapse the 1-11 table once all 11 are done (you'll still be able to click on it to show it, like the Schedule Overview section, in this case) |

Country : India | Administrator posted @ 2021-11-15 1:17 PM Results sortedThe Archery Time Trial results are now sorted, with those who entered the "full" keys also having their answers accepted. Also, we have implemented the penalty system for this event, adding on minutes for incorrect submissions. This wasn't implemented before so there could be minor changes to the results. Lastly, on the landing page we have separated the two parts 1-11 and 12-22 into two tables. As of now part 1 is viewable by default while part 2 needs to be clicked on to show up. In 4 and something hours when the 11th Time Trial is done, we will switch. |

Posts: 30 Country : India | kheti posted @ 2021-11-15 5:06 PM Hi, For Time Trials, is it possible to record both the times. Time when the puzzle goes live and time when a solver starts the puzzle and also provide two scores for them. I know that the organizers are pretty busy with the Convention and Part 1 of Time Trials is almost over. But if there is a way to record the time for now and them update the scores after the convention, that would also be fine. The intention behind it is just to have a fair idea of individual time and ranking for Time Trials as well in case we are not able to start the puzzle at the gunfire. Country : India | Administrator posted @ 2021-11-15 5:09 PM We appreciate your concern. However, the whole idea of the time trials is that race to start and finish as soon as the puzzle is live. We have many other contests where start times are recorded. The aim here is to have something different, with a live solve experience. That is very much intentional. |

Posts: 2 | samp posted @ 2021-11-15 5:57 PM Thanks, I will try to start as many trials as I can on time. Also, I noticed that if the current schedule of Time Trial is continued for part 3, then Time Trial 24 would overlap with Authors Panel. Author's Panel : 18th Nov, 14:30-16:00 Time Trial 24 if same schedule continues: 18th Nov, 15:00-18:00. I am interested in attending the Author's Panel but also would not want to miss starting the Time Trial on time. Is it possible to make them non-overlapping? |
