How well did the variants represent the theme of the test ? variations represented the theme well
What was your opinion of the distribution of easy/hard puzzles? Too many easy puzzles
What did you think about the puzzle quality of the test? Fairly Nice
Of the puzzles you solved/attempted, how well did the point values reflect the difficulty? Most puzzles were worth the right amount
What do you think about including as many smaller grids? Too many

Nice puzzles. I liked the Diagonal (9x9), Pencilmarks (6x6) and Palindrome (6x6). The 9x9s could have been a little harder.

A great set of puzzles and amazing solving path for most of the puzzles. I personally liked the Untouch 9x9 and Palindrome 9x9 among the ones I solved.

Thanks for the sudokus! Excellent puzzles as usual.

It seems I wasn't the only one stuck on the small Pencilmarks Sudoku.
There's a sad tendency for authors, who try to make difficult 6x6 sudokus, to include a lot of bifurcation.
I feel a 6x6 should be what it should be: a simple introduction for the big puzzle, not a guessing exercise.

The first episode of the new season is now over. Congratulations to Rohan, Kishore and Prasanna for taking the top 3 spots, but I should mention that the timings of Rakesh, Saheer and Prakhar are extreme close as well.

Very little to choose between the top 6 international participants, congratulations to Kota for the top spot and Jan and Kwaka for joint-second. (I have been reminded again to fix the ranking problem when the scores are tied, will do that soon)

As many as 13 Indians completed the set, which is much higher than any SM episode (last year's math round had 6 finishers, so that is a distant second). That obviously translates to puzzles were (very) easy, which is not necessarily a bad way to start a new season.

Thank you everyone for participating, and hope to see you soon in the next episode by Prasanna/Aditi; and also in the first episode Puzzle Ramayan.

New players : If there is any specific Sudoku in which you got stuck, feel free to post here and we will guide you through.

Excellent set of puzzles.
Especially I loved variants part.
But I got lost in 4 of these puzzles: 1) Palindrome 6*6 2) Pencil Marks 6*6, 9*9 3) Diagonal .
But fortunate enough to just make it in time though.
Looking forward to next round. :)

I completely missed to thank Rishi and Brako who test solved the Sudokus. Rishi had an amazing time (38 minutes), which is not surprising, given his current performance at Sudoku GP.

Nice test. My preference would be for fewer small grids.

Hi Arav. Welcome to LMI. Yes of course. You can definitely participate in the remaining rounds of Sudoku Mahabharath. The best six scores will be considered for qualification for the finals. So you can still discard one of your remaining seven scores if you participate in all seven rounds.

You can also check out one other event Puzzle Ramayana. The first round is scheduled over Sep 5 to 7. The Instruction booklet will be released subsequently. Please check the below link for more details.
