First welcome to LMI and best of luck for your first test. :) maxxuk - 2012-05-30 10:27 AM How do I make the submission of completed puzzle? There is an answer key to each puzzle. It is there in Instruction Booklet. After Solving the Puzzle You form the answer key according to answer key rules given under each puzzle in Instruction Booklet. This key you have to enter on the LMI interface or championship page where you will start this test. The total time is 150 mts..for printing, solving & uploading? Yes. Total 150 minutes including printing, solving and entering Answer keys. No need of any uploading or scanning. |

Posts: 1801 Country : India | prasanna16391 posted @ 2012-05-30 12:55 PM Erm, you can check out the instruction booklet of this one itself, the examples have the answer keys given along with them. Hope you saw this page http://logicmastersindia.com/IPC2012/ . The instruction booklet is available there, puzzle booklet will be made available later and will have rows and columns marked just like the instruction booklet. Also, IPC 2010 was also held like this. You can check out the puzzle booklet here http://logicmastersindia.com/lmitests/?test=IPC2010 but there are no solutions or anything I think. Just to confirm related to an earlier query, this is open to all foreign participants as well, only difference being of course, that you won't be eligible for selection into team India ;) Edited by prasanna16391 2012-05-30 12:57 PM |

Posts: 3 Country : India | maxxuk posted @ 2012-05-30 2:04 PM Thanks for the responses...one final query though ....( the information booklet is indeed quite useful), once after solving the puzzles, I need to log in and enter the answer keys in given fields? or do I keep the window active for the entire duration to update the answer keys? These questions may look silly for some one who has been participating for a while, it can still help novices like me. Thanks & Regards Mahesh |

The puzzle booklet (pdf file with actual puzzles) will be password protected. To open this file, you need a password. You can see this password after you click on "Start IPC 2012" on 3rd June at 2:00PM. After you get the password, you can open the pdf, print, solve. After solving, you can enter the answer keys in the given fields. You don't need to keep the window active for the whole duration. After you get the password, you can safely close the window and reopen it only when you need to submit. |

The puzzles are sorted from easy to hard, So I recommend you to do it in the same way. NOTE : 1. Please use the booklet for practising the puzzles only. 2. These puzzles are from a competition previously held at LMI and that competition has nothing to do with the IPC 2012 except for using the puzzles for practise. 3. Please ignore Page 1 of the PDF booklet. 4. Please do not ask any questions about that competition in this thread. |

Since the test is from 2:00 pm to 4:30 pm, it will be morning 4:30 am here. What I wanted to know is, will a printer be required or will it be more convenient to solve it if we print the puzzles out on paper? If that is so I will have to run to lab early in the morning :( .... please do give me some suggestions regarding this.. thanx |
