The theme is 'Pi'. hey sry i didnt understood what are u saying? The repetition of digits and sequence of digits does not matter as long as those digits appear in shaded cells. The '1' is repeated because the theme is 'Pi', the givens are shaped like the symbol 'Pi' and the numbers outside represent the value of 'Pi'. Edited by Rohan Rao 2011-12-13 9:53 AM |

I would not say it is easy for an average solver, but I've seen ones that are a lot tougher than this one. Took me around 8 minutes for this one (and solvable logically, without a need for guesswork), but I am not a 'top solver' in Windoku :-) I hope you use the Windoku 'extra-regions' rule: (Each set of same-coloured cells contains numbers 1-9 apart from the nine 3x3 boxes and four 3x3 regions) Edited by Rohan Rao 2011-12-16 1:46 PM (Windoku Grid.png) Attachments ---------------- ![]() |

No further clues to proceed accept some pencil markings.. In the 9th box: you have a pair 28 next to the 5 (edges). Then at R9C7 in can only be 4 or 7. Then you can place the 1 in row 8 (considering that there isn't edge between R9C67, then 4 can't be placed at R9C6 ![]() I like how the N=3 works (I think that perhaps I'm the inventor of this variant?): You have to "think" digits into 3 groups: 1-4-7, 2-5-8 and 3-6-9. And in these groups 4, 5 and 6 play a central role. Each N has it's own logic, perhaps you have to think about it for each N before the test ![]() Fred |
