Chalk me up as another fan of the new Slant answer key. A little disorienting at first, but still much nicer than the N/Z standard. Sus-Shikaku tripped me up repeatedly, it was quite fun!

Superb set of puzzles. Had a mix of easy, tricky, and a couple of challenging puzzles. Had to restart 1 slitherlink and 1 shikaku, otherwise went smooth. Answer keys were smooth as well. Fun new variants of skylines and sus-shikaku. An overall wonderful beginning to this new season of PR. Thanks, Prasanna, Testers, and LMI. ❤️

Great set, well done. Slant answer key was very intuitive, and the ending of the big one was very clever. Thank you.

very nice set. although overtime, just finish them all in 2 hours. Turn out, I'm not good at SB, and skyscaper. very good at Shikaku and slitherlink. should notice the trick in snake 1 early. 😩

Excellent puzzles! Sus-Shikaku is a neat idea and it felt very well used in the puzzles here. 👏 I appreciated seeing logical Snakes too. It was all fun but my favorites are all four variants, Star Battle 3 and Slitherlink 3. Thank you for the contest! 💜

Tremendous set of puzzles. I kind of prefer this cropped format of PR with reduced time. I think the preference is because all puzzles were greatly attemperated for their difficulty to fit in the 60min slot. Even if one was very hard, the balance would have been disturbed and made the time look even shorter. So in that aspect, excellent work Prasanna !

I really enjoyed the set.

I understand there are people who solve a lot quicker than others, but I wish the contest was longer so that we the weaker had enough time to solve them during contest.

Thanks for your thoughts. I appreciate the discussion on this. For me, the problem with that argument is there is no set definition of "weaker". Even if the contest time is 3 hours there may be people who find it difficult to finish. The number of minutes is always just an arbitrary quantity that may fit for some and not for others. To me it is more about the block of time people take out of their day to do a contest, and I want it to be possible for more people to do that.

What I admire most about those people on the top is not only that they solve so much faster than me, but they also have to solve every single puzzle every single time. In a lot of contests, I have one or two puzzles left, which I just can't solve at all. Or only with T&E and a lot of time investement. No amount of extra time would fix that. (If there is only a handful left, I try to finish everything shortly after time was up, so at least I know by how much I missed finishing.)

fun puzzles! i am not a speed solver so getting half of them (with one minor error due to not thinking correctly about skylines) felt good. will go back and try the others later!
