This was another SM-5 round which I could solve except 9x9 Kropki Sudoku. After the contest, I took help of Mr. Prasanna Sir to know the starting crack point and solved it successfully and its logic was best in this round. And again, I made an error while entering in the answer key. In this round, my favourites were 9x9 Battenburg, 9x9 Average and 9x9 Kropki.

Important

LMI started the concept of "restricted threads" long back. The main objective of this was to provide a platform to encourage discussions among participants who have completed the contest and to share feedback without worrying about disclosing anything to the participants who have not taken the test yet. A few participants use this forum regularly to share feedback, happy reactions and bad experiences too. We are also aware that participants discuss some tests in other forums too - with adequate checks and restrictions.

However, in this particular test, it has been brought to our notice that there have been explicit discussions about certain grids on other platforms and people have participated in the test after discussing the solutions. This is against the spirit of fair play, and does more harm than benefit. We are disappointed about this and unable to understand the reason for such behaviour. The number of such participants is only a handful though.

Thanks to all our regular LMI participants, who take part in the test honestly and refrain from parallel discussions while the test is live. If you notice any malpractices related to an ongoing LMI contest - in any platform, please try to stop it and also bring it to our notice, so that we can try to correct it and make the test experience fair and enjoyable to everyone.

Disqualified participants

Three participants were disqualified in this test due to behaviour amounting to cheating, and against the spirit of fairplay.
A sincere request to all participants to keep it clean, as there is nothing to be gained by resorting to malpractices.

Thank you,
LMI

A big congratulations to all the top finishers! The overall feedback was similar to expectations with almost everyone finding the set on easier side except the average sudoku.

Also, a big thanks to Rakesh sir for testing all the sudokus and taking care of entire admin work! Looking forward to the upcoming round.
