Despite this, I thought the puzzles were very nice and fun to solve, so overall an excellent test. Thank you. The aim is to encourage more newcomers and so the difficulty was set towards easier with some challenging stuff for top solvers. I am glad you had fun.

Posts: 668 Country : India | swaroop2011 posted @ 2020-03-21 5:44 AM anurag - 2020-03-20 10:24 PM Thanks for an easy-raised-to-the-power-of-2 test. The puzzle quality was very decent. I thought the 7-pointer Trio cut and 12-pointeer Nurikabe were overrated though. On the other hand, I struggled 25 minutes to break the tricky loop closure in the centre-left center in the 10-pointer RL! Thank you for the feedback. Sometimes the points can be varying based on the experience, as some of them find shading and loop puzzles easy while some find it hard, so there might be some minor variation in the Points to Difficulty experience. But I hope overall it was as close to its possible. Ripple Loop indeed was challenging.

That, however, is probably because I am weak at some of these shading variants, but I enjoyed it! Thanks, Swaroop! And thanks for dedicating some of the puzzles to Shaheer :) wonderful gesture... Thanks Priyam. I am confident you will master it soon.

Most were fun enough without the timer, except the ripple loop puzzles. I found even the 2 pointer to be impossible. I solved it several times and even downloaded the instructions/examples again during the test and do not understand where i am wrong. My solution is 320212 Thank's for your feedback. We would be happy to assist you if you need help in solving certain puzzles. You can post here, where you are stuck, and we can guide you through the next steps. I can only inform you that, all puzzles are logically approachable.

So I'm excited about that, even if the test seems to have been on the easier side. I definitely needed to reread the instructions a couple of times in order to find the solutions, especially for Ripple Loop. But overall I'm pleased with my result. Hooray!

My solution row by row is ..a--b, a-cabl, l..lll, la-cll, ll.acl, dc.d-c This this leads to the code 320212 which is incorrect. I presume I misinterpreted the rules somewhere but I've never had so much difficulty with a 2-point puzzle. Posts: 54 Country : United States | Timjamiller posted @ 2020-03-21 8:21 PM Hey Bob. One misinterpretation you're having is that you're allowing empty spaces to occur. The puzzle instructions say that the loop must visit every cell. The rule I was having trouble with was the horizontal/vertical adjacency stuff...mostly because I overlooked that in my first readthrough. I was originally thinking that it was path adjacent (like ghirsh) and not cell-adjacent.

Posts: 25 Country : United Kingdom | Puzzle_Maestro posted @ 2020-03-21 8:24 PM The instructions say 'Draw a closed loop that connects the centres of ALL cells horizontally or vertically', so your solution is wrong, namely because there are empty cells. Details like these are very important!

Even when re-reading my eyes gloss right over the little word "all" since I am assuming it is a Masyu variation (which it is not).
