Same here. Somehow the contests always ended up scheduled on bad weekends for me -- hope to compete in more than 2 of 8 next time.

p.s. I vote for longer timeframes for each context -- weeknights are usually better for me than weekends.

Will the order of puzzles in PB be same as that in IB?
If not, can the points table reflect the correct order of puzzles in PB?

For rounds 1,2,4 -> order of puzzles in PB will match with that in IB.
I'm not 100% sure about R3 yet, but it should match too. If it does not, we will reflect the same in points table.

In Area Maze,

1. Can we infer in the puzzle below that the answer is 6cm2? Or is the data insufficient?

2. Can we infer in the puzzle below that the answer is 15cm? Or is the data insufficient?

P.S. Typo - All areas are cm2, not cm3.

Technically, data is insufficient in both cases. Remember that you should/can not be using rulers to find length of lines.

In first case, you need a ruler to measure that the height of the rectangle with "?" and the height of the rectangle with area as 15 are same.

We need another line to provide the information that the heights are same.

In second case, since the rectangle in question is completely detached from rest of the world, there is absolutely no information about the height and width.

I have doubt regarding "Sequence" puzzle in Round 4.
Can the answer be 144 too using clue 72?

As I understand this, the sequence has the factors of the clue number (72) in ascending order. So the answer should be 36. What is the logic for 144?

What is the logic for 144?

Rakesh is correct that these are factors of 72 in ascending order. So the next numbers in the sequence are 36 and 72. The sequence is "not defined" after that.

Everything else is a divisor, in order, why would the last one suddenly be a multiple?

TSC is for selecting 4 finalists(2 experienced + 2 inexperienced) who will be sponsored (Participation and travel expenses)at WSC.The top four in ISC will represent the India-A Team at WSC(they will not be sponsored unless the same person is in top 4 of TSC as well).

*Experienced solver is one who has represented India in past world championships atleast once .
