Note - I have rushed the booklet a little, so please note errors if any here and I'll fix them by tomorrow.

Some minor things fixed - Link to number 15 was wrong, Quadruple rules look better with a clarification.

In puzzles 8 (classic 6) and 18 (consecutive pairs 2), when entering answer key A, red dotted lines indicating invalid answer key appeared even when I was entering the correct key. Was this some sort of bug?

Some puzzles here are difficult, and those puzzles more than 10 points I just used brute force.. Anyway the puzzles are great!

Agreed that they were tough, especially for an opening round. But I enjoyed variants a lot, especially Quadruple!

There'll be ups and downs but generally, the difficulty of SM will be higher than that of PR. Our Sudoku team is better at the World Championships (5th) than our Puzzle Team (10th), so we naturally plan out difficulty levels to reflect that.

Broke one puzzle, and didn't get half of the points. Bashed one in at the end, though, so I got that going for me, which is nice.

Thermo 6x6 is insanely difficult whilst all other 6x6 puzzles - after the break-in and careful deductions - quickly melt away. I've put 7 numbers in and I'm truly stuck - any hints?

Would be great if in future rounds, the penpa links can be retained in the pdf for practice after the contest is over.

Thanks for an interesting and difficult set Kumaresan! My favourites were, Quadruple (9x9 and 6x6), Consecutive Pairs (9x9) and Thermo (9x9). In PB, last page consecutive pairs, puzzle numbers (alongside the puzzle) to be corrected to 17 and 18 (printed as 7 and 8), and points value for 9x9 to be corrected from 9 to 12.

Can you share where you are stuck (like a screenshot), so it's easier to guide/provide the next step?

@lakshmisv you don't need the pdf, the contest puzzles are available in online mode after the contest too. You can also go to paper mode and click on the names of the puzzles. Let us know if this doesn't work in any of the past 2022 contests.

Thanks Kumaresan! 🙏

My favourite puzzle is Quadruple Sudoku. Some puzzles are too difficult to solve so that I used brute force to solve them. Anyway most of the puzzles have a great logic.
