2. Word Labyrinth

Is it guaranteed that there is a space (or an asterisk) between consecutive words? Specifically, for the example, it appears that the word WORD could be moved one space earlier if it was okay to touch CURL.

7. Battleships

Can ships cover up numbers? (that is, are numbers also considered water)?

Also, the rules mention that ships cannot touch diagonally -- what does it mean for ships to touch diagonally?

11. Pyramid

For a row that has a shaded cell, is it guaranteed that all cells in the row will be shaded? Or is it possible for only some cells in a row to be shaded?

Yes, there needs to be a space / asterisk between consecutive words. This rule is missing in the IB and we will address this in the Q & A.

Ships cannot cover the numbers.

Thanks for pointing out the issue related to diagonal touching which does not make sense in a pyramid shaped grid. Here is the correct rules:
Ships segments belonging to different ships cannot be placed in adjacent cells.

Both of these questions will be addressed in the Q & A.

For the Pyramid puzzle, it is guaranteed that if a row has a shaded cell then all the cells in that row will be shaded.
