Country : India | Administrator posted @ 2021-01-16 1:50 PM Details here.Additional details and notes: - This year we have a non-flash submission page and score page, both of which can be accessed via mobile. We still recommend using a PC/laptop for the best experience. - We will also have penpa links for online solving for all rounds, with the possible exception of "Casual" puzzles from Round 6. The participants will still be expected to come back and enter the answer key. - We will be mailing the top Indian solvers after Round 7 itself to confirm their participation in the offline event. We expect the changes from the last round to be minimal and easy to account for, and it will enable us to plan the offline finals closer to the end of the online rounds. - Of course, as we learned in 2020, the plans of the offline finals are all "subject to change". |

The round-by-round schedule in terms of dates of each round remains the same. The authors for each round remain the same. The only thing that changes is the order of the rounds. Round 3 was Shading by Amit Sowani. Round 4 was Number Placement by Rakesh Rai. Round 7 was Regions by Swaroop Guggilam. Now, Rakesh's round will be Round 3, Swaroop's will be Round 4, Amit's will be Round 7. The rest of the rounds remain unchanged. The Puzzle Ramayan page and Monthly test list have been updated with this information. |

Posts: 1801 Country : India | prasanna16391 posted @ 2021-07-07 11:14 PM Round 8 RescheduledThings have been a bit hectic with the Junior Championship we just conducted this past weekend, I am not confident I can get Round 8 ready on time for this weekend. Plus the author of Round 8 would like a bit more time to improve on some of the puzzle submissions. We have factored in all of this and taken the call to postpone Round 8 by a week. It will now take place from the 16th to the 21st, and this reflects on the Monthly Tests page as well as the Puzzle Ramayan page. We are aware this means it will clash with the Puzzle GP again like Round 6, and this is not intended, but is unavoidable as the next available slot would be too far away. However since we have contests open for 2-3 extra days, we hope people will still participate in good numbers and enjoy the round. Apologies for any inconvenience caused due to the rescheduling. |

It won't necessarily be about qualification since that is only relevant if the finals are held offline (venue space limits etc.). If it ends up needing to be held online again due to covid-related constraints, then everyone will be allowed to participate, and the link from the online rounds will be the base points carried over and that's it. Either way, we will send a mail soon regarding this. Like last year, since there isn't a typical WSC and WPC happening, we don't need to rush on declaring the National Champion and that means we can take our time to see if an offline event is possible (even if that seems a fleeting possibility as of now) |
