Did you catch the rule about letters not being allowed to repeat in a row/column?

How balanced do you think the puzzle types of this test were? A bit skewed
What was your opinion of the distribution of easy/hard puzzles? A bit hard
What did you think about the puzzle quality of the test? Very nice
What was your opinion about the answer key extraction? Mostly perfect answer keys
How did you feel about the length / time limit for this test? Way too many puzzles (too little time)
How fair do you think the rankings were? Many players got scores that did not reflect their performance
What was your opinion of the booklet formatting and printing? Just right

I'm not very confident with word puzzles normally (I leave them until last in most tests), so I thought I'd be bad at this, but I still wanted to compete. So I unclicked the 'include in ratings' box so it wouldn't matter if I was awful.
But after finishing I see this is likely to be my best result yet! How confusing :-) Now I definitely wish I hadn't played with that checkbox! Perhaps all the puzzles I did last month had a positive effect after all.

I think it is necessary to spot that there are 9 "A"s for Word Labyrinth and Snails Nest, and in Nurikabe I noticed that the E could not be HIDEAKI, because if it was you could write the name backwards IKAEDIH and get a different solution.

Thanks Nikola!

What a Good test! Nikola, Great Job!
But, I had a sad feeling because my place at WPC was 11th. If I had performed little better, my name would have been listed in the puzzles...

I think Nikola was very happy with JANA instead of KOTA though, especially in the no repeat genres as it gave that nice 9 A's.

Sure! To tell the truth, I didn't notice that 9 A's within duration time...
Moreover, if KOTA had been listed, 'KO' would have apeeared three times and some puzzles would have been more confused!

I would've beaten Ulrich if I hadn't forgot to include him in the Word Labyrinth!
17 points is definitely a huge amount to lose this way. :(
I don't think I'll ever have another chance being this close at the front of the pack.
Word puzzles are easily my best type to work with.

One of my earliest experience with puzzles was from a 24HPC set by Nikola, one of my favourite set of that year, I think it was 2007.
Then my first top 20 finish was in Puzzles and Chess. And now, fingers tightly crossed, I'm hoping for my first podium finish here.
Nikola, you should write LMI puzzle tests more often. :)

With no other players participating, Word Show is now over.

Congratulations to Palmer, Ulrich and Tawan for their podium finishes. Congratulations to Tawan again for his first podium finish at LMI tests.
Among Indians, Amit played really well to be placed at 7th.

Congratulations from my side to Palmer who almost completed the test, with one already described small mistake. He had more than 13 minutes for last Word Search puzzle but he couldn't finish it. Also congrats to Ulrich and Tawan, they solved correctly 9 of 11 submitted puzzles.

The fact is that most of the puzzles was a bit hard. When I saw Cedomir's and Serkan's total time, I decided to limite solving time on 90 minutes. It seems I had a strong pretesters for word puzzles.

I must say I enjoyed this weekend as many of you. Thanks to all of you for comments and feedbacks. Dominant green color on graphics telling me the test succeded.
