It is bit of coincidence that Fred has authored another set, exactly after a year

The theme is really nice. All the types gel well as a set, but have lot of diversity while solving. I particularly like Diagonal outside sudoku

To be well prepared for the test, I have to start to live diagonally. From now my keyboard is slightly slanted, I walk in a zig-zag, cross the street only diagonally and please tell everyone who see me in the car these days to slow down.

In battle arrow sudoku, it seems that "all possible arrows IN NON-CLUED CELLS are shown".
Is that right?

No, it's not right.
All possible arrows are shown.
But don't forget that there is an arrow only if a digit repeats EXACTLY ONCE in a given direction. If a digit repeats twice or more, there is no arrow.

The fact that there is no arrow in clued cells on the example grid is only for aesthetic reasons.

Indeed: It's a good strategy if you want to have a chance to win this tournament

Oops, I see clearly now.
I had to read the rule carefully. (of course, that is another very important stratagy to win tournaments ;-) )

I find it convenient when the diagonal lines of Anti Diagonal are given. It doesn't matter much but maybe if others prefer it too, it could be added.

Looking forward to a 'sudoku' test (after more than a month).

^^ because my actual name slanted would take far too much space. I'm looking forward to this too. I wonder if Fred has tried the revenge methods we talked about on facebook...

First of all... great looking grids Fred.... will be nice to make a comeback to LMI test with your test....

And here is some news for solvers which is not related to this test!!!

Adobe PDF Reader X is the new free product from Adobe. It allows you to add text directly to a pdf. People like me who have printer issues can now open the pdf and solve directly instead of creating grids or pasting in ms paint and then solving. The link for download is added below.

I know that LMI already has an online interface for sudoku. But this is helpful for puzzle tests and other sudoku competitions around the globe where printing is needed. Hope this is helpful to ppl.

Adobe PDF Reader X

Haha ! Grids were hard enough ! I didn't to try to make them harder
Last time we authored a test at LMI ( http://logicmastersindia.com/lmitests/?test=M201103S ) nobody achieve to finish all the grids correctly in time, so this time I hope it'll not be the case

Untouch sudokus that I posted on my blog last week were initially planned as 13th grid for this test: http://sudokuvariante.blogspot.com/search/label/Untouch (untouch N°1 for the IB and untouch N°2 for the test).

All players can answer the poll in the beginning of this thread.

From my point of view it does not matter, but as I don't play, I'll not answer the poll.
Rohan, I noticed that anti-diagonal that are on your blog have no diagonal lines given . But I can add them if a majority of players want, there is no problem for me.

Should've kept "no" and "does not matter" as two separate options in the poll, now the people who wanted it might get out voted by people to whom it didn't matter. Of course this is in hindsight, it just struck me.
