Enjoyed the puzzles as well.

1) Agree with your comment about removing the wait between puzzles. But it might well have made performance better :)

2) Would be nice to see a pdf-version after the contest.

3) Hope you will make an iPad app one day with this kind of puzzles :)

I'm sure this will be added for ST3.

2) Would be nice to see a pdf-version after the contest.

pdf version of ST2 will be uploaded on 5th November, 2011 after the contest ends.

3) Hope you will make an iPad app one day with this kind of puzzles :)

Enjoyable as always - and a bit more relaxing than Eger is sure to be. One issue I had was not realizing that unsubmitted selections would be taken at the 80 second mark. That is to say that I didn't realize I had to unselect an answer I'd thought about but chose not to submit/hit next puzzle.

Agreed, this test concept was very enjoyable.

I did run into a glitch with the test system at Careless Arrows. I picked an answer then noticed it was wrong before submitting. I changed my response back to "Select answer". When time ran out on the puzzle, the system had trouble registering the answer, and a Submit Again button would show up every 20 seconds or so with no other options. I would try that button and this looped for a couple of minutes. When it finally cleared from that puzzle, I was skipped ahead all the way to the Tapa puzzle and then skipped again to the final question. Didn't get to try 8 puzzles.

I'm sure it was just a quirky glitch (or an IE issue) but it might be good to have a None response in the choices or a Next Puzzle button for ST3.

Good luck in Eger!

enjoyed a lot..
Some puzzles has to guessed which of course went wrong for me but it was nice experience.
hope to do better in ST3.
Just to confirm there was no option to get back to previous question right. Because one puzzle it was timed out (i didnt attempted the answer) and i thought it would come back here after all 20 puzzles.
And one more thing is this gonna be included in LMI puzzle ratings..( i am asking as there was no checkbox which says Include this into my puzzle ratings or so).
thanks rohan & deb.

There is no review period.

Yes, it will be included in Ratings. I was not sure if we should have a checkbox this time.

ST2 results are available at http://logicmastersindia.com/ST/ST2/score.asp

It was open for long 96 hours, so most of you probably have seen the results multiple times by now :-)

The top results are extremely close - xevs (1428), Hausigel (1422), motris(1413). All of them have got 1 wrong, and 19 correct.
I have to mention that ByronosaurusRex is the only player to have solved all 20 puzzles correctly.

In all, there were 342 players out of which 339 players have solved at least one puzzle correctly, and 330 players have got 0+ scores.

Thank you everyone for participating, and hope you had fun.

So, it was not only about getting the puzzles correct, rather getting them correctly soon.

15 players have got 19 puzzles correct. The best score being 1448, and the least being 1056.
19 players have got 18 puzzles correct. The best score being 1360, and the least being 859.

Congrats to Ko Okamoto, Roland Voigt and Thomas Snyder for taking the top 3 positions. Ulrich Voigt (4th) and the top 3 were extremely close, with just about 20 points separating the four.
Special credit to Byron Calver, for being the only participant to solve all 20 puzzles correctly.

I hope all of you enjoyed at least a few of the puzzles. Most of them very easy relative to the difficulty of ST1. I strongly believed at least 5 players would finish all 20. Of course, it is very natural to make one small error, and its not disheartening to see 35 players solve 18 and more puzzles correctly.

KnightSafe and Number Search were two puzzles with most common errors. Many answered '9' for KnightSafe by including one cell which 'had' a knight. Its very easy to miss a number in Number Search if not careful.

Sudoku Pair and Star Battle were, in my opinion, the hardest two puzzles. Sudoku Pair had the least number of correct submissions.

After authoring the first two Screen Tests, I wish to be a participant at ST3 :-)

Thank You all once again for participating. Good Luck for those participating at the WPC and I hope this Screen Test helps you to score better in Eger ;-)
