Posts: 668 Country : India | swaroop2011 posted @ 2023-04-29 11:11 PM I want to praise all the authors for the season for brilliant puzzles. I couldn't comment on feedback on individual rounds due to my schedule, but I wanted to take time now to appreciate the efforts and beautiful set of puzzles. It was hectic during the initial months, reflected in my score with just on-the-edge participation. I am glad I could then find some time to improve as the contest progressed. I also thank all the testers, Prasanna for organizing, and LMI Team (Deb) for making the whole contest run smoothly to their capacity. One thing I would suggest to consider for the next iteration of PR 2024 is possible of having a mix of 60min and 90min rounds. I liked the idea of increasing the difficulty level to move standards closer to WPC goals. However, I felt having all the 60min rounds was more punishing. i.e., One bad choice of puzzle or one puzzle mistake costs the entire round, whereas 90 min round allows recovering. Since WPC also has a mix of short and long rounds, I feel it naturally makes sense to have a mix of those in PR too. Apart from this, I don't have any other feedback other than commending the efforts once again to everyone who was part of PR 2023 (Authors, Testors, Organizers) |
