Think of it has 33 LIVE events - this is a nod to Nikoli Time Trials from back in the day. I understand it will be impossible to participate in all events, but we've tried to spread it out so people can give some a go. |

E.g. will a 5-minute solve right at the start of the window be considered equal to a 5-minute solve that is started halfway through? To add to what Tawan mentioned above, there will not be any "Start Button" for these puzzles. For every participant, the start time will be recorded as the same time the puzzle goes LIVE. |

Posts: 225 Country : Thailand | tamz29 posted @ 2021-11-12 7:54 PM The first Time Trials is starting in a few hours. This is the first experiment with LIVE contests on LMI so we hope things go smoothly. Before the gun fire; we suggest you familiarize yourself with the rules and answer keys and have the PDF loaded and ready. The password will be dropped for everyone at the same time. For those solving online; there will be a button that says Penpa Link which will take you to Penpa. No answer checking is enabled. You will still have to submit answers on LMI. The PDF file also has a shortened link underneath the puzzle. You can also access the link by copying the URL there.Though clicking the Penpa button will be faster. Happy puzzling! |

Posts: 23 Country : Japan | EctoPlasma posted @ 2021-11-13 2:59 AM Shoot, I didn't know the word "LIVE" in the IB meant a contest with a fixed starting time. I was pretty lucky to have found out this fact only 1 minute after the beginning, but I suspect a lot others might have missed it due to the same misunderstanding... |
