Double spiral: I think the two circles "should be present in symmetrical cells" or points/nodes.

Quads: Many of the black dots are surrounded by less than two pairs of consecutive digits. Shouldn't the rules say "pairs of adjacent digits that are also consecutive, with repetitions included" instead?

Key for Five cells: "Enter only the unit’s digit for double digit numbers". Does that make sense?

You are correct. Double-digit won't be possible in Five cells. You can ignore that line. It won't affect your answer key.

At this point, since the test is already started, we won't be modifying the rules in any booklets. But I believe that from the example it is clear, how the symmetry behaves. Good Luck.

I would say a similar thing as replied to your previous question, at this point since the test is already started, we won't be modifying the rules in any booklets. But I believe that from the example it is clear that repetitions are allowed.

I thought that was very tough for a PR round! Nonetheless, nice puzzles....

Specific comments: Rassi Silai was fun, although I rarely had to draw the actual ropes (I assume that's not unintended) and I could often reason using uniqueness of the solution (especially in #3). Consecutive quads was also fun, though I broke #5 too many times. I really liked the 9-point Araf, and the Five Cells were easy and nice. My favorite part was discovering the huge galaxies!

Yes, it is definitely on the harder side of PR. But I believe it's hard because of new variants and not the difficulty of the puzzles itself. Of course, some of the puzzles itself are hard but overall due to new variants, it became harder than expected. More detailed review about the difficulty, types, and themes will be provided after the contest ends.

A bit too hard and too much guessing for me. First double spiral galaxies is simply impossible to solve. I thought I am able to finish the set, but there I stayed.
Luckily when submitting there was only one error and I was able to fix this. During solving I thought that I have a risk at least in 10 puzzles to have a mistake - good that it didn't happen :)

The second Quad was hard, unlike the first and third, though it was logically solvable. Some puzzles were really hard, as some others here thought. I hope the ropes come back next year in the regions round. Those were cute constructions.

If I was trying really hard to compete, I wouldn't be a fan of having half the test consist of puzzles where the only past appearance was WPC 2017 which I didn't go to.

Basically I would be forced to buy the WPC 2017 puzzle book to get a fair chance to practice.

But the puzzles themselves were very enjoyable.

Quite a hard test in my opinion.Found the Arafs and regional loops to be a hard grind.I am looking forward to solving the left out ones later.
Favourites are the Consecutive quads #6,Regional loop #8,and the Rassi Silai #3
Thanks Ashish and Swaroop :).
