7. Gridless Crossword

Can letters from different words be in adjacent cells?

Most published crosswords use blocked grids, in which words must be separated by black cells; however, some published crosswords use barred grids, in which letters from different words can be in adjacent cells (and are labeled with a thick bar between the cells).

1. Acrostic

Why is this puzzle called "Acrostic"? In the USA, the word "acrostic" has a specific meaning which this puzzle does not seem to have. Does "acrostic" mean something else in India? Or does it mean the same thing and this is a separate aspect to the puzzle?

You can refer here - http://acrostics.org/ (or just do a simple google search for 'Acrostic Puzzle').

19. Word Split
All rows and all columns contain exactly one word. Is it correct?
(Or some rows/columns may remain empty?)

Your first assumption is correct, all rows and all columns contain exactly one word. This will be added to the instructions.

They cannot. There must be at least one blank cell separating different words. This will be added to the instructions.
