Hi. I assume the following. Prasanna can correct me if I am wrong.

There are three online rounds and a fourth offline round. The fourth offline round can also be taken online with a delay of one week. This is for people who cannot attend the round in person.

Platinum - Three online rounds plus fourth offline round
Gold - Three online rounds plus fourth round as online with a week's delay

I think we can guide you better if you post where you are stuck on a particular Quadruple (for instance, if you are stuck in the one provided in the sample booklet, share an image here of the point you are stuck at).

This is correct. Note that the people who opt to take online will only get scored on basis of first 3 rounds.

For early registrations platinum was the default option. The other option came up as we raised the cost.

An International player wanted to participate, so if anyone else is interested, this is possible. There is a fee of 10 Euros (or 11 dollars) which you can transfer via paypal to my email (prasanna16391@gmail.com). This is a highly beginner friendly competition. The registrations are open (for Indians too) till 10 AM IST on 5th December. If anyone does pay the fee, please drop me an email too with your LMI ID so that I can add it to the allowed participants list.

Prasanna, unless I am mistaken I think you meant to answer "No". The flash interface for online solving is very confusing to me, but I don't see any pen input method where one fills in the grid by drawing on the screen with a pen.

For pen input, my suggestion would be to download the PDF as for paper solving -- then solve by drawing over the PDF in your favorite software for doing this kind of thing (beware the PDF is password-encrypted, your PDF annotator must handle that or you must be able to decrypt it using other PDF software then send it to your pen annotation software), then enter the answer keys into the LMI form for paper solvers.
Denis

Hi Denis,

The LMI interface has the feature of candidate marking, which is what I assumed is meant by pen and pencil input (i.e. two different kinds of markings). Is there some other meaning here I am missing?

I noted in an email earlier that points will be deducted. This should be obvious, since otherwise you can just randomly try out 9-digit series non stop. You get 90% points for one incorrect submission, 70 for two, 40 for three and 0 for four. I have sent a mail out to participants now confirming this.

No, you can only submit for 90 minutes. Its not a necessity to submit all puzzles. The individual puzzle points will decide your score, and it is displayed on the score page - http://logicmastersindia.com/2016/ISKL_Dec4/score.asp

Yes: I like many others have a tablet computer with a pen, and find it much more pleasant to solve puzzles by writing with a pen on top of the puzzle (like one would solve on paper, but paper-less) than by entering numbers with an on-screen keyboard (or plugging in an external keyboard). I am not sure what the original poster meant, but I understood "pen input" to mean this. Though "pencil and pen" could actually mean what you understood. I am not sure what the intent was.
