The flash interface for online solving is very confusing to me, but I don't see any pen input method where one fills in the grid by drawing on the screen with a pen. kurosaki - 2016-12-01 10:33 PMIs there pencil and pen input method for online solvers? Yes. Please read FAQ - http://logicmastersindia.com/forum/forums/thread-view.asp?tid=381 and try the Demo to familiarize yourself with the interface - http://logicmastersindia.com/2016/ISKL_Demo/For pen input, my suggestion would be to download the PDF as for paper solving -- then solve by drawing over the PDF in your favorite software for doing this kind of thing (beware the PDF is password-encrypted, your PDF annotator must handle that or you must be able to decrypt it using other PDF software then send it to your pen annotation software), then enter the answer keys into the LMI form for paper solvers. |

Still some some points have been deducted. Why is that so ? I noted in an email earlier that points will be deducted. This should be obvious, since otherwise you can just randomly try out 9-digit series non stop. You get 90% points for one incorrect submission, 70 for two, 40 for three and 0 for four. I have sent a mail out to participants now confirming this. |

The individual puzzle points will decide your score, and it is displayed on the score page - http://logicmastersindia.com/2016/ISKL_Dec4/score.asp |

Is there some other meaning here I am missing? Yes: I like many others have a tablet computer with a pen, and find it much more pleasant to solve puzzles by writing with a pen on top of the puzzle (like one would solve on paper, but paper-less) than by entering numbers with an on-screen keyboard (or plugging in an external keyboard). I am not sure what the original poster meant, but I understood "pen input" to mean this. Though "pencil and pen" could actually mean what you understood. I am not sure what the intent was.Edited by auroux 2016-12-02 8:17 PM |

Well I got a few queries on phone too which were similar and meant what I understood so I assumed this one meant that too. Anyway, I think our replies clarify the answer for either meaning. You are right that the feature you say is not there in the online interface. Candidate marking is there. |
