Now that score page is released, Rohan great come back with such whooping score. Rest all ranks were too close , and just a matter of 1 puzzle here and there. I can certainly say that the Gapped Kakuro submission submitted just before few seconds of time, rescued me to top 3 spots. Well done once again all of you. Congrats to all once again. Ashish really very well performed and significant improvement from last year.
Once again Thanks to Prasanna and Deb for such a wonderful test.

Did the Instructions Booklet (IB) provide enough information about participating in IPC? Yes, mostly.
Did you understand the puzzle rules, examples and answer keys from the IB? I understood most of them.
Did you find enough easy puzzles to solve during the championship? Yes, there were many of them.
After your experience in IPC, are you going to participate in future championshiops or contests at LMI? Most likely

Is this test going to affect ratings, or is it not going to be used because it is an official test?

IPC and ISC start very late in the weekend for most international players, so some may not be able to participate. So we have never considered them for ratings.

35 puzzles in 150 minutes makes most of them to be easy, although there are certainly the harder puzzles. Naturally Kakuro wrecks my performance again; solved all 32 other puzzles in 115 minutes, solved C1 in 7 minutes, and got nothing for the rest two Kakuro in the remaining 28 minutes.

Excellent puzzles overall. Most are just okay symmetrical patterns with good solutions, although some are really nice surprise like the IPC and 2015 Statue Park, and the Outside LITS. I don't find Squares Count worthy of its 41-point status, perhaps because I managed to find a way to calculate the number of squares in a consistent manner. (Identical Pairs took more time. Did any of those solving on paper tried cutting the images and rotating them to make things much easier?)

Thanks a lot, I really enjoyed this test. A comfortable level of difficulty, maybe except for the Kakuros.

The instant scoring had me maybe a little too careless on submission -- I'd tend to let the engine do the checking, not sure if that paid off. It did pay off to guess the last two "identical pairs" after staring for a while.

One minor thing: It would have been nice if the Gapped Kakuro page had repeated the 0-for-gap thingy (or did I miss it?).

Somehow, the smaller puzzles are harder than the medium sized ones, sometimes by a significant margin. I am not sure whether that's a good thing.

IPC 2015 is over. Thanks to everyone involved (Deb, Bram, Bastien, Vladimir, Tiit) for helping me organize it.

Congratulations once again to the winners. Rohan Rao posted a winning total of 930.4, which is impressive considering this is the same format as last year where the winning total was 645. It is also impressive considering that he is 14th in the International segment whereas last year, India's best total was 25th in the International segment. Last year's winner, Amit Sowani seemed a bit off-pace this year but still scored 773.7, which was enough to be the Runner-Up. Swaroop Guggilam completes the A-team with a total of 725.2 at 3rd place. Among the remaining rankings, Ashish Kumar showed a notable improvement, moving from 14th last year to 5th this year. The International segment of the competition saw 189 participants, with 13 solvers finishing the entire set and posting a score of 1000+. The three best scores were 2165.4 by deu (Japan), 2099.9 by EKBM (Japan) and 1588.7 by uvo (Germany). The Indian participation for IPC was on the lower side, but hopefully with a shift to Puzzle Ramayan for next year's selection, with a more beginner-friendly format, we can encourage more Indians to take up and pursue other puzzles too as they do Sudoku.

The Solution Booklet will be posted over the weekend.
Thank you all for participating!

I had participated in Indian Puzzle Championship 2015, but have not received the participation certificate.
Could you please mail it to my registered id?

Also, can I still make a request for Hard Copy of the certificate, though the last date is over?
