This is a Monday norinori puzzle, but instead of shading dominos, which consist of two monominos, which is the fancy way of saying squares, you should shade diamonds, which consist of two moniamonds, which is the fancy way of saying equilateral triangles. The puzzles in this week are arranged less by difficulty, and more by polyiamond […]

Draw lines to divide the white squares into groups of three, such that no two identical groups that are also at the same angle are touching at a side. See the example puzzle below on the left. The correct answer is in the middle, and an incorrect answer is on the right, because the two triominos that are […]

This is a Tuesday* heteromino, but instead of making groups of three squares, which is called a tromino, make groups of three equilateral triangles, which is called a triamond. Conveniently there are 6 different tromino orientations, and 6 different triamond orientations. *The puzzles in this week are arranged not really by difficulty, but by polyiamond size, ranging […]

This is a Wednesday* LITS puzzle. Well, actually, it is a LIA puzzle. Instead of shading a tetromino, L,I,T or S, shade a tetriamond, L,I, or A, shown below. Also, instead of the rule prohibiting forming a shaded square with 4 cells, now you are not allowed to create a shaded hexagon with 6 cells. *The […]

Divide the grid into pentominoes such that no two pentominoes of the same shape are touching at a side. There will be some letters in the grid, that tell which shapes they belong. The 12 pentominoes and their names are given below. Notice that the pentominoes are still considered the same shape after being rotated and/or reflected.

This is a Thursday* pentominous, except, divide the grid into pentiamonds, which are groups of five connected equilateral triangles, instead of pentominoes, which are groups of five squares. Additionally, these pieces are now considered different shapes when reflected. The letters corresponding to the shapes are below. *The puzzles in this week are arranged not really by difficulty, but by […]

This is a Friday* statue park puzzle using the full set of 12 hexiamonds shown below. Yay perfect antisymmetry! If you are wondering, there are 24 heptiamonds, which is just less than 26. Here is one person’s attempt at lettering them. *The puzzles in this week are arranged not really by difficulty, but by polyiamond size, ranging from diamonds […]
