This may sound awkward, but I feel like I'm at an advanced level of Sudoku but I still can't grasp the X & Y wing techniques. Here is the following example I'm stuck on and don't want to just 'guess'. Can someone explain these techniques in simple terms?

There are two 7s in column 3. Fix that first.
