Players occupying the third and fourth places in each classification will play the 2nd round for places 5 – 8 of the final ranking, and so on !" Interesting. What happens to players down the order in the set having higher participants? If there are 50-even and 75-odd, what about players ranked 51-75 in odd? |

Posts: 739 Country : India | vopani posted @ 2012-07-08 5:47 PM My friend asked me this question, so I posted on his behalf. He wanted to know if the grouping will still be in sets of 4 or would it be possible to pit against everyone else (Like 51-75, all play round 2 against each other). He likes round 2 very much, he doesnt like relay I think your comment answers my question :-) Edited by Rohan Rao 2012-07-08 5:48 PM |

I've not yet decided what I'll do in that case, but probably the set of 4 players will go on. And players who didn't take part in 1st round, only in 2nd, will be ranked at the end of the tournament's ranking, but I'll also make a ranking of the single 2nd round, so if someone wants to play only the 2nd round, it's not a problem. Posts: 337 Country : Switzerland | Fred76 posted @ 2012-07-10 2:40 PM Ranking of 1st round: http://sudokuvariante.forumactif.com/h17-tournoi-du-forum-2012-clas... 2 players dominated very clearly in each ranking: Kota was impressive in the "odd" path, which was a bit harder than the "even" path, where Tiit had no problem to win ! I know that relay is something a bit special, not always easy for players. When there is a mistake, it's hard to fix it without loose a big amount of time. I would thank all participants for playing this special round and invite you in round 2 this weekend. The groups for round 2 are: http://sudokuvariante.forumactif.com/h18-tournoi-du-forum-2012-les-... Other players can also play if they want ! Fred |

Posts: 739 Country : India | vopani posted @ 2012-07-17 10:03 AM Arrow Sudoku and Extra Region Sudoku were brilliant. I've seen your usual extra-region creation-style of having 4 symmetric regions, and this was one of your best. Edited by Rohan Rao 2012-07-17 10:25 AM |

Posts: 1801 Country : India | prasanna16391 posted @ 2012-07-17 7:39 PM I enjoyed both the rounds. Missed the easy steps for a long time on Sequences, and but for a little typo on the Killer answer key which I corrected later, I would've still had a time of 59 minutes according to Fred, which is pretty decent. The grids were great fun, especially Extra Regions and Arrows like Rohan said. |

It is good to see that India keeps getting stronger. As a test-solver I must agree that I loved Extra Region Sudoku, although my other favorite was the Killer instead of the Arrow. Really a great set of puzzles, thanks Fred. |
