With my limited ability to think.... I presume it could be a series of rapidly solvable 2x3 sudokus..... :)

I have one question about MT II. Is the puzzles in any way related? I mean two numbers maybe connected between two grids, etc.? Or every puzzle is separated?

Thanks,

Nikola

The puzzles will be independent of each other. There is no relationship among them.

In Knight Sudoku, would a solution in which there was more than one knight digit be invalid?

Thank you,

David McNeill.

In the puzzle, ONLY ONE POSSIBLE SOLUTION of the knight exists.
As in, you cannot have two numbers, both of whom are knights.

IMPORTANT NOTES:

1. One additional rule in Battleship Sudoku: "Given numbers are NOT part of any ship". (It has been added in the PB)

2. Regarding submission of Minesweeper Sudoku: For mines, you can enter 'X' OR 'M' OR '5' & '6'. Even if you leave the mines as empty-cells and fill up the numbers 1 to 4 correctly, you will be given full points.

3. Since there are 6 groups of 7 sudokus each, on the submission page, there are 6 tabs. You need to click on the tab to select a group OR on the Next button which will take you to the next group. As long as you do not close the browser, you can visit any group at any time and submit the answers of any sudoku.
These tab buttons and next button are present at the top and also at the bottom.

4. The 'Move As You Type' and 'Colour Drop Down Box' is present at the top-right and at bottom-right.

5. The points distribution give a general idea of the difficulty of the puzzles, though may not be perfectly accurate. We are expecting solvers to finish all puzzles in 140mins, even though some of the high-point puzzles are tough and might require guesswork.

For those who solve online:

It is advised to solve Battleship Sudoku and Minesweeper Sudoku on paper as you 'may' find it difficult to do them online.

I didnot understand Distances Sudoku of Group 4. In the given example in IB, if we take x=4, then the distance between 4&5 and 3&4 is same.

Please help me.

Aditya, check the distances in the shaded cells.
In the shaded cells, d(4,5) > d(3,4)

In the actual puzzle, 6 cells will be shaded. You also have to put 1-6 in the shaded cells. There may or may not hints given inside those 6 cells.

For the original distances Puzzle check http://rohanrao.blogspot.com/2009/05/rules-of-distances.html

I am still not able to get it. I have understood that the rule for distances will only be applicable for the shaded cells.

The problem is with this sentence. "Distances between numbers are measured from the centres of the cells." I am not able to interpret the meaning of this sentence.

How do you measure the distance between two numbers or two cells?
for example distance between R1C1 and R3C5 is sqrt of (2*2+4*4)

Now, its clear. Thanks for your reply.
I thought to calculate the distance, we need to follow the path of the cells.

Well, if you're not upto rating '42' puzzles, you can definitely give me some feedback here itself :-)
