Excellent warmup for next weekend, but this test indicates I need a lot more practice to have a chance (hopefully I will not have another 0.208 point nightmare...)

The online qualification round for the German Sudoku Championship will take place this Saturday:

http://www.logic-masters.de/DSM/qualifikation.php

The instruction file contains examples for all types of Sudoku variations that may appear (some variations mentioned there will only appear in the offline final tournament later this year). Some of these variations have already been mentioned above in this thread, the new ones are:

Irregular Sudoku: Just like classic Sudoku, just with irregular areas.

Scattered Outside Sum Sudoku: Numbers outside the grid indicate the sum of the first two digits in the respective row or column. "Scattered" means there is one non-contiguous area, indicated by grey cells.

Scattered Gump Sudoku: Symbols outside the grid indicate properties of the first two digits in the respective row or column.
G (as in gerade = even): the first two digits must be even.
U (as in ungerade = odd): the first two digits must be odd.
- : the first two digits must be small (1-4).
+ : the first two digits must be large (5-8).
Again, there is one scattered (non-contiguous) area.

Killer Twins: Two Killer Sudokus (see above) having identical solutions.

Renban Sudoku: Each renban group (indicated by contiguous grey cells) must contain consecutive digits, in any order (but digits may not be repeated in such a group).

Irregular Twin Sudoku: Two irregular Sudokus (see above) having identical solutions.

Irregular Distanz Sudoku: Irregular Sudoku with the additional feature that consecutive digits may not be horizontally or vertically adjacent.

Scattered Sudoku: Irregular Sudoku with a scattered (non-contiguous) area.

Toroidal Sudoku: Irregular Sudoku, some areas wrap around the grid from top to bottom (and maybe from left to right, I'm not sure about that).

Irregular Diagonal Sudoku: Irregular Sudoku, both marked diagonals must contain digits 1-9 as well.

One of the puzzle authors is Richard Stolk, who made "Shapes and Sizes" two weeks ago.

The contest page with the encrypted puzzle file will be available soon. Note that the Sudoku variations may appear in a different order, and there may be several puzzles of the same type (there are surely several Classic Sudokus). The answer key is the same for all puzzles: Enter the content of the two rows marked by arrows from left to right.

The contest will run on Saturday from 08:00 until 24:00 (Central European Time, which is GMT+1). Each competitor has two hours to solve the puzzles; since no answers are accepted after midnight, I would recommend to start before 22:00.
