Thanks Deb. Just a small correction : this was not the French Sudoku Championship but only the French Selections for WSC. Indeed, for some reason which remains a mystery for me, there is no French Championship.

Otherwise you are right, 2 players, Sylvain and I, were selected from this event. According to the system used by french WPF member, the other 2 are the 2 french players who did the best result at last year's WSC.

Oh ok, I didn't interpret it correctly. That is bit strange.
But in defense of that system, there will be some continuity every year at WSC.

Sorry about hijacking the thread again, are the Sudokus already available OR will be available online?

I am not sure of what you mean by "continuity" ? Concerning the puzzles, I have no idea. French selections are very mysterious. The only thing I am almost sure of is that the french WPF member (keesing media group) will not publish them (it never does), but perhaps the authors (the 2 pre-selected players) will do so.

Otherwise, just a parenthesis to inform you that the Instruction Booklet of the On line(s) tournament is now available.

Oh well, since yesterday I've been thinking why you are calling it "On line(s) tournament", rather than "Online tournament". Interesting!

More precisely, puzzles are sometimes published here: http://ffjm.org/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=20&Itemid...
Last years, puzzle were not published (perhaps because a grid was not correct?)
I don't know if 2011 puzzles will be published there, as I think that there were 2 incorrect grids this year...

No ! The parenthesis was the discussion about french qualif ! I think we can close the parenthesis and talk about the on line(s) tournament now !

(I remember a french teacher that always opened parenthesis, but never close them !!!)

Precisely, as they were not published in 2010, I don't expect them this year... But we'll see. End of the parenthesis.
