Am I right in inferring from the IB that players solving online would need to completely solve a particular sudoku and only then submit it whereas players solving the same sudoku on paper and submitting through another flash interface would need to only enter the solution for the marked rows and columns for that particular sudoku?

No.
We'll just check the contents of the marked row and marked column even in case of online solving.

Hi,

Can anyone suggest any websites where we could find more of the variants for practice, specially the 'outside sudoku' & 'product frame sudoku'?

Thanks,
Jai

Hello everyone, I want to familiarize myself with the flash interface for solving the sudoku online as I have never used it before. Can I get a link for a demo/prototype of the same please which is similar to that coming for tomorrow?

The flash submission is now enabled - check the submission page

After login, you can see the paper submission mode.
Click on "Solve Examples" to solve some examples and get familiarized

Password protected Sudoku booklet is uploaded - It has 8 pages. Sudokus are organized as per the Points Table in the IB.
There is no cover page or points table in the booklet

Hi. Will we able to login again if my internet connection was disconnected. I mean the answers that were saved earlier remain ?

Because there is a load shedding in my place at 3 to 4 pm. So I am planning to login at 2.30 and note down the puzzles. Solve some puzzles online and submit it. Remaining solve offline and relogin at 4pm and submit. Is that posible ?

Please ensure you use the same method of submission of answers. For example if you are solving online initially using flash interface then after relogin submit the balance answers also using flash interface by filling only the required row and column in each puzzle. Ofcourse the answers previously submitted will be stored in the server.

yes, possible.
Don't close your browser when you don't have internet connection. Keep solving and submit once you've internet connection back..

Hi,

I am trying to submit the Example Sudoku. However, I get the message Example Sudoku cannot be submitted.
Initially Show Examples button was disabled. But, after clicking Submit for Example sudoku, that was enabled.

Can you tell me if this is the correct behaviour? What is the reason for this?
I am using Mozilla Firefox 4.0 browser for the online test.

Hi vasugik,

There is no more than 120 minutes available. The 16:30 limit means that you can start until 14:30 if you want to beneficiate of 2 full hours to solve the puzzles. But if you start at 14:00, you have until 16:00.

Good luck to all indian contestants !
