Looks like I messed up the end time. The contest is still ongoing. Sorry for the confusion.

Given how rarely monthly sudoku contests apart from SM occur of late, it is really refreshing to see them making a comeback with the New Year contest

Sudokus were all very hard but I had great fun and plan to give them a deeper look in the coming days.

Tremendous job by Tyler Chen for creating amazing sudokus and thanks to LMI for hosting the contest !

The Sudoku-wise points have been updated on the score page. We haven't yet added the points for solving at least one Samurai grid. This will be done soon.

I am extremely pleased and happy about my result 🙏😊. It also feels good to see another estonian in top40. That's a solid result there. That wasn't the easiest competition and the level of solvers is good!

Additionally: I want to thank the author of this competition. I really liked the samurai (my favourite). There were also many other puzzles I really enjoyed. But most of all - thank you for doing this! LMI is a good site for doing a such competition and I really miss them.

Hey Everyone!

Thank you so much everyone for doing this contest! I hope you all had a fun time, both doing the puzzles in during the contest and/or going through them on your own time. It was really fun for me to write these puzzles and host this contest on LMI, and I certainly hope to continue doing this for years to come 😊. And of course, Happy New Year! I hope 2024 brings forth a lot of more puzzle solving fun to everyone!

With that said, congratulations to Tiit Vunk, Sinchai Rungsangrattanakul, and Josh Bao for finishing 1st, 2nd, and 3rd respectively,
