Shaheer had beaten me in the semi finals of CSM last year and I had told him that I would beat him this year. Alas , that day will never come. Will really miss him .

You were one of the most cheerful person in LMI. Always ready to take up challenges and work harder to improve in sudoku. It was such a nice experience when we shared room during WSC 2017. Will miss you Shaheer!

Absolutely shocked and saddened by this news. You were one of the most dedicated and inspiring people I have met in the puzzle community, and an absolute gem of a human being. Praying for strength to endure this difficult time, for everyone who knew and loved you, Shaheer. You will be missed, buddy, Rest in peace...

Shaheer must be just a few years older than my children and it was with total shock and extreme sorrow that I read about him. It is most devastating. No words can give comfort. May God give his family strength to cope with this most unfair and untimely loss. All of us in the Sudoku /Puzzle family will miss him.
I am copying what I had written on our lmi sudoku group:
It was last year that I noticed the name Shaheer in the group. He had this childlike enthusiasm and it was heartwarming to see everyone fondly teasing him.

He was the most vocally excited finalist at all the TSC regionals this year, and I was waiting to meet him at the finals.

When I was struggling to solve during training, he came down and himself offered to help and patiently explained where I was stuck.

He looked at my paper and said I should use a different pencil. A few days later, I messaged asking him what pencil he was referring to. He sent me 15 mesaages with complete details of every little part of it, including where it was available. And lest I didnt understand, he looked for it on amazon and sent me a screenshot. So much enthusiasm.

A few months back, I happened to do well on sudoku maniacs. He immediately posted on lmi congratulating me. That was so sweet of him.

On 21st I saw that he had excelled and beaten almost everyone. When I posted it on lmi, he sounded so thrilled saying even he couldn't believe it and sent a huge smiley. Alas that was his last message on lmi. I just checked and saw that 21st was the last day he solved!! Its as if he left on a high.

Its really unfair that he has left so early. We will miss seeing . Ninjasudoku. May his soul rest in peace.
