Great set again! I really like Detour and I'm amazed that no one has thought of it before. It reminds me of Turning Fences and the turn / visit all cells constraints work well together.

Favorite Puzzles:

02 LITS Different
07 Foursight
10 Detour
13 Heyacrazy
19 Tom/Tom

Thank you!

Congratulations to Panista, WA1729, and deu for the podium finish, as well as EKBM and Kota for finishing the whole test! Special congratulations to Panista and WA1729 for having podium finishes in both tests, and EKBM that just barely missed it. Congratulations to Prasanna, Swaroop, and Kishore for top 3 of India, too!

Overall, we believe the quality of our puzzles is still very good, just like in WAPC1; the good thing is that there are no answer key mistakes, unlike before, and we believe we scored the puzzles fairly well this time. The puzzles might have been slightly harder than Part 1, but we're still generally satisfied with the composition. As usual, Solution Booklet will be up soon. And even more, we have a number of puzzles that ended up not included for some reason or another; we hope we can compile some of these for you to try!

Initially I thought we would only have enough puzzles to fill one contest. Obviously it was grossly wrong. But what would have happened if these were combined into a single, 4-hour contest? Just for fun, we compiled the numbers. Here we assume that for people that didn't full-clear either part, their scores would simply be the sum of the two, and for those who full-cleared one part, the remaining time would be used for the other part. We realize this has a lot of questionable assumptions, but we need to make some anyway. We get the following results:
1. EKBM: 2437.16 points (1978 base score, 194:47 completion time)
2. WA1729: 2434.65 points (1979 base score, 195:05 completion time)
3. panista: 2410.73 points (1983 base score, 197:25 completion time)
4. deu: 2018.50 points (Part 1 would be completed in 126:19, plus Part 2 gives 236:01 completion time; if Part 1 had no more errors it would have been 995, for total 1985 base score)
5. Para: 2016.24 points (Part 2 would be completed in 133:20, plus Part 1 gives 236:24 completion time; if Part 2 had no more errors it would have been 986, for total 1986 base score)
6. S_Aoki: 2001.52 points (Part 2 would be completed in 133:20, plus Part 1 gives 236:40 completion time; if Part 2 had no more errors it would have been 977, for total 1974 base score)
7. Kota: 1936 points (Part 1 would be completed in 125:00, plus Part 2 gives 243:35 completion time which exceeds time, so we assume the last puzzle in Part 1 would remain unsolved)
- Everyone else: sum of the two part scores, including...
... 8. kiwijam: 1722 points
... 9. Nikola: 1680 points
... 10. nyoroppyi: 1623 points
... 11-20. misko (1552), eoheongmath (1540), Hazakura (1510), ghirsch (1507), anderson (1490), Tigereye (1467), tomek_s (1422), tarotaro (1377), Janka1 (1270), montelucci (1259)

Some trivia about the puzzles:
- IHNN's set (1-4, LITS and Five Cells plus variants) initially only consisted of 1, 3, 4. I saw the incomplete set and suggested IHNN to come up with some kind of noncongruent variant to LITS, and thus 2 was born.
- 4 (Five Cells [Noncongruent]) was unique with only the four 1 clues. It was also very brute-forcy.
- Heyacrazy as a genre is very weird; it has a lot of unusual deductions thanks to the "lines in all directions" rule. The first puzzle written for this had no diagonal lines (and also got dropped); all future ones ended up having them because they aided solving.
- In SoftFro's set (14-16, isometric puzzles), there was a difficult Isometric Times Zone. We dropped it because two of the Times Zone puzzles (22-23) are already quite difficult already. But I hope we can include it in the rejects. 16 (Isometric Cross the Streams) was written to replace this, while keeping the Nonogram/CtS-like clues.
- In Kagami Ame's set (17-19 + 21, math-y puzzles), there was also a Perspective Skyscrapers, a Skyscrapers variant that used perspective clues (this genre appeared in 24HPC 2019). We dropped it because the rules for perspective clues were too complicated to describe.

Thanks again for participating in our contests, whether you did both parts or only one part. This will not be the end of our contribution; we definitely want to write more contests to LMI in the future. Stay tuned! And if you're interested in our community and want to join, feel free to e-mail to puzzlersclubsignups -dot- gmail -dot- com and state that you hear from us about this test.

Here are some puzzles that didn't make it to WAPC for various reasons.

Thanks for posting the rejects. (Though I agree with the others on the Iso Heyacrazy...)

I just wanted to check that there isn't a typo with the {1, 2, 4, 5, 10, 20} Times Zone. I hit a roadblock in the 5th column very quickly and I don't (yet) see any other alternatives.

Same as astackho, I get a very quick contradiction using the 1st line ans 5th column. I feel like the 50 in the 1st line should be a 40 ?

Yes, there's a typo, and indeed the 50 should be a 40.

I tried to give feedback, but the feedback page on the score page just won't load. The scores load just fine, but nothing appears in the feedback or feedback summary pages. Same thing happened on both Chrome and Edge browsers. The score part is just fine, but the feedback page is just a blank white void with text about the comments box on the top right corner and four buttons on the bottom, and the only things that appear on the Feedback Summary page are plain text sentences "Votes are weighted by LMI Rankings" and "What was your overall opinion on the test?" Am I the only one experiencing this problem?

Whoops, the puzzle was wrongly transcribed. Yes, the 50 should be a 40, as rob said.

The feedback page is not available, same as in WAPC1. You can give feedback directly here in this thread.
