I also found the puzzles very good and with the right balance easy-difficult. Got through most of the easy ones very quickly and after 41 minutes with only 4 puzzles left to solve I started to key in my answers. But it took me more than 10 minutes just to file the answer keys for 18 puzzles! Far too long!! Then I solved three more puzzles quickly and then.... the last wrangler! 22 minutes left, I got the grasp of it relatively quickly but was stuck with the bottom left corner and the last two clues.... until I saw the light with only two minute to go.
Could have been a nearly perfect round. At least it has been a round in which I could complete the task. Doesn't happen often, when it happens is exhilarating. Thanks Rohan for an exciting contest.

What was your opinion of the distribution of easy/hard puzzles? Just right
What did you think about the puzzle quality of the test? Very nice
Which set of puzzles did you like the most? Eight Winds
What was your opinion about the answer key extraction? Mostly perfect answer keys
Of the puzzles you solved/attempted, how well did the point values reflect the difficulty? Many puzzles were worth too much or too little
What was your opinion of the booklet formatting and printing? Just right

Really enjoyed this test.
I liked the 4 winds and the 8 winds sets most of all.
Weirdly, I got the 8 pointer Battleships in less than 1 minute, whereas the 4 pointer one took me quite a while.

Didnt have much time to finish the wranglers.

Anglers answer key was a pain tbh, counting the number of turns took a while.

Thanks to Rohan for an enjoyable test :)

Some grids need more margins, like grid 2 in wranglers has its heading so close to grid 1 that it looks like the 22 and 14 could be fish for grid one.

2/5/8 (especially 8) seemed undervalued to me but I guess I'm not really fast at grinding easy puzzles on large grids.

Very nice contest!

Well the overall puzzles were pretty good, but puzzle 10 has multiple answers and puzzle 19 was too simple and easy.
And summiting the answer key took so long.

Congratulations to Endo Ken, Tomoya Kimura and Bram de Laat for taking the top three places. They were heads and shoulders above the rest of the competition.

Amongst Indian participants, Congratulations to Prasanna Seshadri, Amit Sowani and Swaroop Guggilam for taking the top 3 places. Also, they were the only three to complete all puzzles.

Of the 188 participants, 37 were from India, 29 from Japan and 17 from USA. Andrey Lemesh (Russia) was the first to start the test while Stephanie D'Souza (India) was the last person to start the test. 54 participants completed the set within the allotted time. The median score of the test was 75.

Thanks Rohan Rao for the puzzles!

Participants may share feedback on the results page and rate the puzzles on the contest page.

I took participation in Puzzle Ramayan (4th-8th of January) for the first time after long break and I am very embarrassed, beause I can't open a "score page" on my notebook and my smartphone as well and I am not among 300 best solvers, so up to now I don't know how many points I've obtained and on what position I've finished. So I probably will resign to take participation in any of the next competitions, nevertheless I took participation in World Wide Puzzle Championship in Eger (Hungary) in 2005.

Hi Wojciech,
You have scored 33.4 Points. You are at #148 position out of 188 participants.
I would request you to please do not stop participating.
Regarding the score page, you would need an adobe flash plugin in the browser. Smartphone browser does not support that. Not only you but even we can't open it in the smartphone. I don't know if notebook as well supports it, so please check that. Best way to access score page is through laptop browsers like Google Chrome, Mozilla, Opera etc.
If you have further difficulties please feel free to ask in the forum, we would be happy to assist you.

Thank you for your suggestions. I've just tried to open "score page" using Google Chrome and I've opened it succesfully. Of course I'll try to take participation in next competition, because it'll be a good preperation before semifinals of Polish Championship in Puzzles and Sudoku, which every year are organised in February.

Best regards,

Regarding Flash requirement, I'm still curious why LMI still uses Flash instead of e.g. JavaScript or something that WPF Grand Prix, USPC, etc use.
