PIC & Follow-up

Thank you to all the authors who submitted their ideas. It is nice to see involvement in this contest from so many authors across different countries. The deliberation over the results of this contest will take time as it has implications on the WSC & WPC directly, so as announced earlier, the ideas will be showcased on a portion of the WSPC website at the same time as we release the WSC & WPC Instruction booklets, and the results of winners will be announced in Bangalore.

Note: If authors wish to do so they can continue sending ideas to us. These ideas will not be eligible for the contest and prizes, but if they are really good we may still end up using them with due credits at WSPC 2017.

Please continue to check our website regularly and participate in more interactive polls, contests and discussions as and when we announce them. We will announce our next one on 17th April.

Some interesting statistics -
Total number of Sudoku ideas submitted: 25
Total number of Puzzle ideas submitted (not including Sudokus): 64
Total number of authors involved: 13
Total number of countries involved: 9

Maybe if you turn your head to a different angle? Squint a little? Tetromino puzzles are easier if you're allowed an extra shape... ;)

I suspect these pages are unedited, as originally submitted by the authors. So if it makes it into the WPC then they might choose a different set of possible shapes...

@uvo and kiwijam

-- You are correct.

The rules of Puzzle types used for WPC from this list, if there any ambiguity has been appropriately modified for final use.
