Why not keep it on a fixed date between 25th December and 1st Jan, sure to be holidays then. Or maybe on some "19" date since many of the puzzles use the numbers 1-9.

Oh and Lady Gaga Day is just so... Ridiculous I guess :P Who celebrates that anyway ?

Not sure whose idea the Lady Gaga thing was, but I'm displeased.

When the date for the National Puzzle Day for India is established, let me know and I'll add it to the calendar on The Griddle.
