This is the last episode of long going Sudoku Mahabharat started in September-2014. So pull up your sleeves and get ready for one last battle to make your place into offline finals which will be held on 10th May 2015 in Bangalore. For more details on Sudoku Mahabharat click here. Although you can go out in the internet world and get as many Sudokus as you can but i am also sharing some of the links for your practice. Also sharing some of the tricks to tackle some of types appearing in this test. Tips and Tricks: 1) The foremost and biggest tip is don't forget what is the name of this round. Pun not intended. 2) Average Sudoku - Remember since it's average and only integers are allowed, numbers on both side of line will be of same type. i.e. Either both numbers will be even or both will be odd. 3) Kropki Sudoku - Black dot only possible pairs are 1-2,2-4,4-8,3-6. White dot pairs are 1-2,2-3,3-4,4-5,5-6,6-7,7-8,8-9. If you have series of 2 black dots then only possible sets are 1-2-4 and 2-4-8. And the only 3 consecutive black dot series is 1-2-4-8. Remember order of these sets can be either way. Also 1-2 can contain either dot (just a reminder). Do not restrict to this as for e.g. if dots series are in L shaped then it can have repeated digits as well like 4-2-4 etc. 3) Consecutive - Try to look out for big series. 4) XV - V pairs are 3-2,1-4. X pairs are 6-4,7-3,8-2,9-1. Clearly 5 doesn't fit in any of these so now you know what to watch out for. It will surely help in future creations. As now the marathon is over, i would like to discuss the tricks behind the solution. The final puzzle selected for Marathon was 2nd version of what i created first. The first version was very tough and so had to modify it. I will upload that version soon after it's tested. But for right now let's move on to the solving steps. Apologies for any grammatical mistakes or bad image quality. But i have tried to keep it simple and good as far as i can.
