54 puzzle types, new record, and this is just Day 1...

Does Surprise mean an unknown type, with instructions revealed during test, or Round 5-like type with absolutely no instructions? What about answer keys?

It will be a surprise. And it is very simple. Only 4 points :P

What about answer keys?

Will be available shortly.

Thanks Jakub. We put together whatever was the first idea that came into our heads, so all puzzles are not as neat as we would have liked, but, something is better than nothing :-)

We will share the link to the results in a while (sometime today), please bear with us. We are getting the Day-2 set ready as well :-)
Thanks again and see you in London.

In Kropki With Blank : Place either a digit from 1-9 into each cell or leave it blank.

Only small mistake in Blank Kropki I found. In the London-Puzzle (WPC is same as WPC) there are only digits 1-8. In online puzzle there are digits 1-9. (I skipped it during the competition.) It is only small mistake nothing important ;)
I´m looking forward to Day-2 set, thanks for good practising. See you in London Rohan.

Seems like Kropki With Blanks is the black sheep of the set (though its one of my personal favourites). Some of you were marked wrong for your correct submissions. We've updated the score page and you have been given points for Kropki With Blanks.

Answer Keys for Day2

The submission page is now enabled, and you can view answer keys after logging in. The link is : http://logicmastersindia.com/2014/07P/?round=2

We have used the following mechanisms for answer keys :
• For loop puzzles, Enter lengths of horizontal segments for marked row
• For shading puzzles, Enter 1 for shaded cells, 0 other wise
• For number placement puzzles, contents of marked rows

• For 'Pentominos In Half', entering the correct pentominos in alphabetical order will get you immediate points. If you submit the correct set of pentominos in the wrong order, we will manually check and give you points (which may take some time)

However, many other puzzles have specific answer keys. If there are any questions, please post in forum before starting the test.

Puzzle Booklet for Day2

• There are 28 pages (so please plan accordingly!)
• It does not contain the pentomino sets/tetromino sets along with the corresponding puzzles, except for 'Pentominoes in Half' for answer key purposes. Please familiarize yourself with these from the WPC IB

Note

• We have compiled the set and got it ready as soon as possible. In case of any errors, we apologize and will rectify it as soon as possible
Duration is 180-minutes since Day-2 puzzles are harder (and most are non-Classic puzzles) than Day-1. Please don't fall asleep while solving :-)
• Have fun solving the puzzles!

Thanks a lot for the great practice puzzles! Obviously, trying to play this while on a business trip to Korea and before I finished digesting the whole WPC booklet was not the smartest thing ever. I'll have to go over a lot of day 2 again...
