Apparently all the PDFs did not get uploaded. So this post will be updated. A few notes about the PDFs -

The major difference between Junior and Open categories was that Juniors were eligible for partial points whereas Seniors were not. So Sudoku round 1 and most of the puzzles are the same for both. There are a few variants that are different in Sudoku round 2. The only difference in puzzles is, the Juniors had dissection puzzles of size 4, whereas Seniors had size 5. We're thinking of a more segmented variety for both age categories, but I think the partial points rule is ok at this point and worked well enough here.

Who won?

Top 5 after the preliminaries -

Sudoku - Gaurav K J, Rajesh Kumar, Zalak Ghetia, Varun Shetty, Deepika Moningi.

Puzzle - Rajesh Kumar - Zalak Ghetia (tie at 1st place), Varun Ramachandran, Rajashree Rajesh, Kunal Verma.

Rajesh won gold and Zalak won silver in both Sudoku and Puzzles. Gaurav K Jain (or Gaurav Kumar J, as he prefers it) was 3rd in Sudoku (he slipped a bit too much on the Killer in the finals, something that everyone was stuck on for a while). Varun Ramachandran (rvarun) was 3rd in puzzles. Also of note, Deepika M raced ahead of everyone in the finals until she hit that killer.

The brain game is surely the center-stage to showcase talent. It's sharp-brain show.
