Whatever is given in instructions is correct...6x6 follows 234 rule. So it can come in 2nd or 3rd or 4th position. |

Wonderful set of puzzles, thoroughly enjoyed solving this round!
A well-balanced round, and each puzzle in my opinion was set at the right amount of marks for difficulty.
My favourite was the unordered distances sudoku 9x9, and I also loved the 234 outside sudoku, a variant I have tried for the first time!
Thanks, Gaurav!

Too hard for the LMI community to solve this SM round without shedding a tear.
It was very nice of Gaurav and the organizers to prepare the sudokus themed on Shaheer. Favourites: 9x9 Toroidal, 9x9 Irregular, 6x6 Toroidal Enjoyable and a neat set of sudokus. Thanks Gaurav! |

I started with the 9x9 unordered distances and spent ~20 mins on it but couldn't solve it. So, I moved to other sudokus. It was a great set. Though I couldn't solve the unoredered distances, I really enjoyed the set. Would try the unordered distances afterwards. It was a great initiative to dedicate the round to Shaheer. Thank you Gaurav for the great set of sudokus! |

Thanks for a nice set of sudokus Gaurav.I felt that the set was mostly on the easier side and sudokus were very approachable. I say this because I broke Unordered Distances (9*9 ) twice and spent about ~30-35 minutes on the same (which is not surprising as I had too much distraction here when I solved ) and at one point, I had no hopes of finishing the contest. But, fortunately the other sudokus were easier. Favourites are 234 outside (9*9 ) and Toroidal (9*9 ). Thanks again ! I can take a mini break now from SM as I co-author the next round with Akash. |

Country : India | SM3 was dedicated to Shaheer and every participant have paid their tribute to Shaheer by their participation. I whole heartedly thank each and every one of you.
I had almost completed the sudokus set for SM3 when we recevied the tragic news of Shaheer demise and I decided to change the entire theme of the set in his memory. Thanks to organizers to provide me some extra time.
Coming to the feedback that this is easy set, YES this was well thought out decision that this set should be approachable and on the easy side with few high pointers.
I am thankful for your feedback and hopefully will keep improving.
Congratulations to People who are Top-3 overall and Top-3 in India and all the participants. Please participate regularly and dont get scared with Top-50/60 scores, you will surely reach there with practice and regular participation.
I would like to thank Rakesh Rai who is always amazing support. He always remain cool head in accomodating last minute change requests. He is actual hero of running entire show, we are just supplying the sudokus and amount of work he is putting in backend is just superb which always remain unnoticed, believe me it is the most hard part. Thanks Rakesh.
Finally thanks to LMI for giving me the opportunity, which helps author like me to stand with world class authors. |
