Country : United States | For Transparent Tapa, would a T-tetromino satisfy a 4-clue? I don't see any restrictions on it here, but think I recall a variant where there had to be a path, and wanted confirmation. |

Country : India | Important points
1. There shall be no instant grading in this test.
2. There shall be no online solving interface (like penpa) provided for this test.
3. If the length of shaded cells in any answer key is more than 9, you need to enter the complete value, not just the unit digit.
4. There shall be 11 pages in the Puzzle Booklet, including a points table on Page 1.
5. Participants can submit answers any number of times. The last submission shall be considered for scoring.
6. There shall be no separate notification on submitting answers. There will be no claim bonus button either. So, if you think you have submitted all answers correctly, the bonus will be calculated based on the last submission time.
7. The timer will show the full 80 minutes. But there shall be penalties if answers are submitted after 75 minutes.

Does Neanderthal (44) have two solutions?
I don't think so. You can share what two solutions you got here and someone can probably see if both are correct. Remember + cannot take the value of 1, it has to be 2 or more. |

Country : India | Great balanced difficulty. Enjoyed all the puzzles. Unfortunately broke one puzzle at the end otherwise went smooth.
Glad to have solved both the high pointers.
Thanks to the Authors, Testers, and LMI.
Looking forward to the next TVC. |

Country : India | Neanderthal (44) - A, C, and D are 142, 2212, and 142, respectively, in both the solutions that I got. B can be 2121 or 2111. (Sorry, I was not able to reply to the previous post).

Country : India | kheti posted @ 2021-06-26 7:58 PM Hi,
I entered the answers in the wrong format. I entered the length of both shaded and unshaded cells (considering clue cells as unshaded).
I know the rules explicitly stated to enter only the lenghts of shaded cells but is it possible to consider this.
It's okay if it is not considered but is there some way for me to know if my answers were at least correct?

Country : Turkey | snehasanjeevini: I think I can tell which part you are thinking about but B cannot be 2121, that will break the clue on R10C5.
kheti: I have no control over answer key appeals but the Solutions Booklet will probably be shared after the contest is over.
Cheers,

Country : Turkey | Thanks Swaroop, I can confirm it does apply. Cells inside the loop count as shaded cells forming the Tapa, which has no 2x2 shaded cells as a base rule. I get the uncertainty though, I probably should have added a sentence like "Shaded cells obey Tapa restrictions." or just specifically added the no 2x2 rule again to be safer. Apologies for the confusion. |

I do not see claim bonus button, is it mistake on my side?
Its mentioned in "Important points" earlier on this thread that there shall be no "claim bonus" button.
(However, there is a line in the IB about claim bonus which may have led to the confusion. )
Bonus shall be calculated automatically if all submissions are correct.

I found myself with some unexpected time tonight and I'm glad I decided to give this a shot- very fun set! I don't have any favorite puzzles because they were all excellent, which is a great problem to have! |

update: already got it, my mistake.. :D
Is it possible that Power of Tapa has 2 solutions? Mine was not accepted, but I doublechecked and it seems fine. Anyway, I'll wait until adrenaline level is down and check again :D

Country : India | Thanks to the 144 participants! Congratulations to the 10 finishers!
Congratulations to the Top 3: Endo Ken, Freddie Hand and Jeffrey Bardon.
Not surprisingly, the highest pointer had the least correct submissions. Notably, Mad Max Tapa 2 had only 60% correct answers.
Thanks to the authors for a more approachable TVC this time!
