- Minesweeper Pentomino: Other shaped grid, Only 10 different pentos, standard (very hard), standard
- Pentomino Yajilin: Larger grid with all pento's to be placed,

Country : India | In Pentomino in the Box:
It says 3 cells in each region of two different pentominos, but is it necessary that it has to be like 1 cell and 2 cell pair split. Can't it be 1+1+1 and two of them join to same pentomino ?? |

Completely correct. In the example you can find this already for the T-shape. I have placed the T-shape on purpose in this position. |

I like the most puzzle 1, in which the rules are quite different and until I read the real instructions (not that in IB ), it took me one night solving it without success ;- ) |

Hmm, that was the first puzzle of this type that I ever made. I forgot that the rules there are indeed slightly different. Maybe it's best not to look too much to this puzzle to avoid confusion. Apologies for that! |

Country : India | In Touching Pentominoes, should all Pentominoes be necessarily connected? Or can there be Pentominoes which are not linked at all? In the example given, all Pentominoes are connected through the corners. |

Not all Pentos are necessarily connected; free floating pentos might occur. |

I love monothematic contests and here I found many great puzzles. The best for me was the harder Pento In The Box even though I do not like this puzzle type. Thanks Richard! |

It was a very nice test. I mean very very nice. Also I overally like pentomino puzzles, so I really enjoyed them. There was right amount of puzzles - I didn't expect to finish anyway, so - it's perfect. Actually I didn't practice too for it, so no big expectations. There was a small thing with the points distribution, but I take that as my personal opinion and skills - so, also it was nicely done. And there were some very enjoyable ones too. Big thanks. |

Key component of this test being enjoyable was that reflections were always allowed. I hate checking for that. Thanks for the test! |

I have been a big fan of pentominos since I met the pentomino puzzle at elementary school. Though I could not manage Sums and Loops in time, it was really fun solving those puzzles again - with lots and lots of new types of them! |

So: a big 'thank you!' from my side to all players for taking part!
Congratulations to the fastest players among you: EKBM, MellowMelon and uvo did a great job! My own expectation was that the winner should need between 90 and 95 minutes, so I was really surprised to see EKBM topping that expectation with almost 20 minutes. Incredible and well done! |
