For this Sudoku Variants Project I have planned to publish a different Sudoku variant every Tuesday. I will see how long it takes before I am running out of ideas.
Before Nine
Place the digits from 1 tot 9 in every row, column and 3x3block. Clues outside the grid are the sum of the digits that are placed before the 9 in the corresponding row or column. This variant appears in the coming GPround, from 30 January till 2 February so you can have some extra practise.

Before Nine

The arrows outside the grid indicate that the first three digits are in ascending or descending order (the highest digit is at the sharp end of the arrow ). If there is no arrow outside the first three digits cannot be in either ascending or descend ... (0 mal gelöst )

Quad Max
Place the digits from 1 tot 9 in every row, column and 3x3block. An arrow in a circle points to the highest digit in the four neighbouring cells.

Descriptive Pairs
Place the digits from 1 tot 9 in every row, column and 3x3block. Additionally, for every pair of clues (X and Y ) outside the grid at least one of the following is true:
1 ) X is in the Yth position in that direction;
2 ) Y is in the Xth position in that direction.

Rhombus
Place the digits from 1 tot 9 in every row, column and 3x3block. There are some rhombus shaped figures in the grid.
The sum of numbers on the rhombus vertices should be divisible by the central number. (The number inside the rhombus ).

Battenburg
Place the digits from 1 tot 9 in every row, column and 3x3block. Wherever 2 odd and 2 even digits form a 2x2 checkerboard pattern, a Battenburg marking is given. If there is no marking, the above pattern is not allowed.

Mini Diagonals
Place the digits from 1 tot 9 in every row, column and 3x3block. There are mini diagonals of three cells each drawn in the grid. The sum of the digits on each diagonal is given on the top of the diagonal.
This type was invented by Silke Berendes for the German Sudoku Championship 2009.

Shaken Clones
Place the digits from 1 tot 9 in every row, column and 3x3block. There are four different shapes (the WCPNlogo ) in the grid. Each shape is cloned, including the digits it contains. The digits in cloned shapes are the same, but their position within the shape may change. This puzzle is a leftover of the Dutch ... (0 mal gelöst )

Between Sudoku
Place the digits from 1 tot 9 in every row, column and 3x3block. If there are one or more empty cells between two given digits in the same row or column, digits in these cells must have a value between the given digits.
