Country : India | vopani posted @ 2010-02-27 8:36 PM Deb, in the thread 'Interesting Fact' that I started, I posted 'Chal Rishi... its your turn! ;-) Deb/Amit... sorry yaar, can't help you :P' on 19th Feb and Rajesh posted 'So Rohan, this year you have a chance to win both the championships in the same year. Best of luck.' on 21st Feb.
Then why is it Rajesh's post appears 'before' mine? |

Country : India | That is because of the 'Nested' View.
Change it to 'Flat' view and you see the difference and understand why your reply comes at the end.
Changing the view option is available at the top right corner of the thread.

There's some nonsense on 28th Feb, unless you have done it to test something. |

I did not rate the sudokus appearing in Mock Test 14.
But in the result page it shows the rating of the examples. |

I need to fix that. It has been pending for a while |

When I am sending someone a private message, it just sits in my outbox....? (i.e. it has not been sent) --- Am I missing something pretty simple, or is there a setting I need to change?
Great website, by the way...
Thanks

Country : United States | I got your PM, and sent you a reply too :). I guess the outbox is just a record of what you sent, and a copy is given to the recipient. |

Country : India | My understanding is
The message remains in the Outbox until the recipient reads it.
Once the recipient reads it, the message moves to 'Sent Item'

Country : United States | I wasn't sure where to put this, it isn't a problem about the forum, it's the interactive puzzles linked on the main page. Diagonal Sudoku puzzle SetA 9x9 008 is a messed up puzzle - starts with two given 1's that are in the same row. Just wanted to let someone know... |

Removed from the list. :- ) |

Country : India | There is no V between 1 and 4 in row 2.
Remember that in XV puzzle, converse rules apply. That means, all possible places of X and V are marked. If there is no V, sum of adjacent digits cannot be 5. Similar rule for X / 10. |

Country : United States | EMJ posted @ 2012-03-05 4:20 AM Hi. I'm not sure where this question should go, and/but I haven't seen it answered on the forum. I'm relatively new here. I greatly enjoy the puzzles. I'm not trying to compete, not into speed or guessing, so I enjoy going back to previous contests and solving them at my own pace. [Though I do love getting the daily classic Tapa online!].
Anyway, there's generally not a need for answer key for most problems, since you usually know when you've solved them. But going back to previous Tapa Variations Contests, I'm less certain on some of the more exotic varieties if I might have missed something that otherwise looks right. Is there a place where the answers to the old contests (in the answer key form used) can be accessed? |

As of now, it is not available to public, although it is stored in our database. We will spend time to make it available publicly.
However, if you are looking for the complete solution for any old puzzle, it may not be available with us. We encourage everyone to post in the forum asking for the solution, and surely some of us will be able to provide the solution. |

Country : United States | EMJ posted @ 2012-03-06 2:59 AM I appreciate the quick reply. I think that the "answer key" should be sufficient most or all of the time. But thanks for the advice about posting a request if needed. And definitely "thanks" for considering taking the time to make the answer keys available!! |

Country : United States | Hey guys, I'm am new to this website and find it particularly hard to navigate here. I would appreciate if someone familiar with this website (like a mod or Rohan or Administrator) could give me simplified instructions so I could get to sudoku-solving. I've read FAQ and stuff like that but frankly, I'm confused. |
